Projection of Straight Lines

1) A line AB 70mm long has its end A 35mm above HP and 30mm in front
of VP. The top view and front view has a length of 45mm and 60mm
respectively. Draw its projections.
2) A line AB measuring 75mm long has one of its end 50mm in front of VP
and 15mm above HP. The top view of the line is 50mm long. Draw and
measure the front view. The other end is 15mm in front of VP and is Above
HP. Determine the true inclination.
3) A straight line AB has its end A 20mm above HP and 25mm in front of
VP. The other end B is 60mm above HP and 65mm in front of VP. The ends
of the line are on the same projectors. Draw its projections. Find the true
length, true inclinations of the line with HP and VP.
4) A line AB 85mm long has its end A 60mm above HP and 65mm in front
of VP. The end B is 25mm above HP and 20mm in front of the VP. Draw the
projections and find its inclinations with HP and VP.
5) The end P of a PQ, 70mm long is 15mm above the HP and 20mm in
front of the VP. Q is 40mm above the HP. Its plan is inclined at 45 to the
VP. Draw the projections of the line and find its true inclinations with VP
and HP.
6) The mid- point of a straight line AB 90mm long is 60mm above HP
and 50mm in front of VP. It is inclined at 30 to HP and 45 to VP. Draw its
projections.
7) A line AB has one of its ends 60mm above HP and 20mm in front of VP.
The other end is 15mm above HP and 45mm in front of VP. The front view
of the line is 65mm long. Draw its projections and find the true length, true
inclinations.
8) A line AB 85 mm long has its end A 25 mm away from both reference
planes and is in first quadrant of the line inclined at 50 0 to HP and 300 to VP.
Draw its projections. Find its view lengths & apparent inclinations

9) A line AB 70 mm long has its end A both in HP and VP. The line is kept
inclined at 45 to HP and 30o to VP. Draw its projections.
10) A line PQ measuring 70 mm long has one of its ends 50 mm in front of
VP and 15 mm above the HP. The top view of the line is 50 mm long. Draw
and measure the front view. The other end is 15 mm in front of VP and is
above HP. Determine the true inclinations.
11) A line AB 70 mm long has one of its end 60 mm above HP and 20 mm in
front of VP. The other end is 15 mm above HP and in front of VP. The front
view of the line is 65 mm long. Draw the top view and find the true
inclinations.
12) A line PQ has its end P in HP and 40 mm in front of VP. Its front view is
inclined is inclined at 50 to XY and has a length of 70 mm. The other end B
is in VP. Draw its projections.
13) A line AB has its end A 20 mm above HP and 25 mm infront of VP. The
other end B is 45 mm above HP and 55 mm infront of VP. The distance
between the end projectors is 60 mm. Draw the projections. Also find the
true length and true inclinations of line with HP and VP.
14) The mid point of a straight line AB 90 mm long is 60 mm above HP and
50 mm infront of VP. It is inclined at 30 o to HP and 45o to VP. Draw its
projections.
15) A line AB 75 mm long has its end A both in HP and VP. The line is kept
inclined at 45o to HP and 30o to VP. Draw its projections.
16) A straight line 80 mm long has one end 15 mm infront of VP and 10 mm
above HP, while the other end is 50 mm infront of VP and 45 mm above HP.
Draw the plan and elevation of the line. Determine the inclinations of the
line to HP and VP.

Draw the projections of the following points on a common reference line.

Consider the distance between the projectors to be 25mm.
1 Point A, 35mm above HP and 15mm in front of VP.
2 Point B, 40mm below HP and 20mm behind of VP
3 Point C, 25mm below HP and in VP.
4 Point D, 30mm in front of VP and in HP.
5 Point E, on both HP and VP.
