Two people, neither of whom, are aware of Politics are pitted against each
other, and in their mad idiosyncratic ways they try to outdo each other.
Narayan Basu a 60 year old criminal turned politician has to win back his
seat before the next elections but his efforts to use force only fall back on
him.
Devika Dasgupta 40 year old, unmarried new CM, is using this opportunity
to be everything she possibly wanted to be. And everything she ever had
interest in.
And her list of priorities includes:

Act in a movie
Go on a date with her famous cricketer
Find jobs for industrial labourers who lost their jobs
Wear branded dresses

But, above all, Get Married

But doing all that needs her to escape two things a) MEDIA b) NARAYAN
BASU
She messes up everything she does. Her efforts to reform the CM house
almost brings the house down. All her distant relatives crop up. And even
before she knew, her house had been flocked by everyone vying for a piece
of her. All her activities and meetings are messed up. So, now her next plan
to free her home from all of them.
Her aim to star in a movie as herself backfires. The entire unit is frustrated
with her acting skills (over the top histrionics) but cant say anything as she
is the CM. They try to put up with it, until finally when the producer dies and

the movie gets cancelled. The media gets at her throat for the same. The
only way out Devika now has is to bail out the movie, to see her on big
screen but for that she wants her role to be increased. After a long debacle,
the film gets made, not with her in the lead but her young niece a young
talented girl.
When her aim to star in a movie fails, her next project is to go out on a date
with her favourite cricketer Subroto Ganguly. After a long planning, she
finally gets the date arranged. She agrees to pay Government funds for the
ex-cricketers upcoming school and the sportstar go out for dinner. But the
evening was destined to be doomed as she gets drunk, overeats and pukes
on her date. Subroto is irritated but eventually, he likes the honesty in which
she speaks after being drunk. They complete their date with a long drive
through the late night vacant streets. He drops her home and praises her.
The next day, she sends him the cheque for the school. The media praises
her contribution.
Her next dream is to rehabilitate the workers who lost their jobs when a
reputed industry chain closed down during the last CMs regime. However,
there is a small problem, she doesnt know what job to provide them.
Travesty strikes when she suggests all of them to take up farming. From
engineers, labourers to technicians, everyone has now a solution to take up
agriculture. Everyone criticises her stand. But, she doesnt have an option
now except to being back the same company which was once supposed to
make the industry. Her efforts eventually turn fruitful, as the company agrees
to come back however, on a different land.
Her life goes on like this. She finds a new hobby and her life revolves around
that. There is a problem that arises with each aspiration. Further issues also
crop up, personal and political, but there is a solution to each problem a
sweet solution thats fun and socially relevant.
All her aspirations move through these cycles till she decides to get married.
At 41, her dream of settling down with the ideal suitor proves out to be super
tough. Because of her strength of seat, powerful personality, none of the
matches turn true. Add to that, her reputation as a politician increases her
woes. Finally, when she gives up a hope, she comes across a foreigner who
doesnt know her identity. And she elopes with him, away from the world.
The media and opposition go mad as everyone gets busy in search of her. On
the other hand, she goes away and enjoys herself with that guy. However, as
days pass by, Devika realises even that guy is not someone she can spend
her entire life with. Unaware of her identity, the guy asks him to come with
him to his native place in Ireland. And she realises, she has to let him go. So,

when everyone is abuzz with different rumours about her whereabouts, she
returns unmarried but contented.
This time around, she turns a more matured individual and politician...
