Performance feedback
The purpose of feedback in Performance is to help you to discover what
your strengths and weaknesses are in performance. Frequently performers
have a very different perception of these from the audience. Feedback is
intended to help you to build on your strengths and develop any areas of
weakness. Feedback can be informal or formal, and can be provided by a
range of people from your peers to tutors and academic staff.
Feedback after each solo or ensemble performance assessment will be
provided in written form though it is not possible to release this until all the
assessments in each cohort are complete. In practice written feedback will
normally be available within a week of the end of assessments for your
cohort. You are also welcome to sign up for a tutorial to discuss the
feedback with the Head of Performance, and it is expected that you will
discuss them in detail with your instrumental/vocal tutor.

In addition students are welcome to sign up for a tutorial with the Head of
Performance after any performance in which they have participated, and in
whatever capacity. Written comments are made during concerts which will
form the basis of these tutorials.
Further feedback will be provided in the course of all workshops and
rehearsals,
and
you
will
also
receive
feedback
from
your
instrumental/vocal tutor during lessons.
