POST DIPLOMA TRAINING PROGRAM IN NUCLEAR POWER PLANT TECHNOLOGY

INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS
Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) offers training opportunity to 3-year diploma holders and
Science Graduates (with Physics, Chemistry and Math) in one-year Post Diploma Training Program
(PDTP) in Nuclear Power Plant Technology. Training of Diploma holders will be held at KANUPP Institute
of Nuclear Power Engineering (KINPOE), Karachi & CHASNUPP Centre of Nuclear Training (CHASCENT),
Mianwali, while training of Science graduates will be held at CHASCENT only.

Candidates having three years Diploma of Associate Engineer in any of the following
technologies recognized by any Board of Technical Education in Pakistan with First Division (atleast
60% marks) in SSC and DAE are eligible to apply:
For training at KINPOE (Expected to start in December 2007)

Candidates having B.Sc. (with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) from a

university recognized by HEC are eligible to apply. They must have first division (minimum 60%
marks) in SSC, HSC and B.Sc.

Maximum age for both Science Graduates and Diploma holders is 25 years on 0207-2007.

Candidates whose final year result is awaited may also apply. Final year result and
Equivalency Certificate must reach JAC, KINPOE by 24-9-2007 otherwise, they will not be
considered for interview and selection.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
1) Please send us:
Completely filled Application Form/Admit Card. Incomplete Application Form will not be processed.
Specially fill all columns of item No. 12 (Details of educational qualification) of Application Form.
Candidates who are awaiting result must give marks/percentage of first two years of D.A.E. or of 1 st year
of B.Sc.
Two recent passport size photographs (one pasted on Application Form and one on Admit Card).
A Bank Draft / Pay Order of Rs. 200/= in favour of "KANUPP Institute of Nuclear Power
Engineering" as application processing fee (non refundable). Bank draft may be obtained preferably
from any branch of the National Bank of Pakistan and payable at NBP, KANUPP Branch, Karachi (Code
0152).
Three self-address envelope with Rs.10/= postal stamp affixed on it.

2) Do not attach photocopies of your certificates / marks sheets etc. These are not required at this stage.
3) Keep a photocopy of this form (both sides) and Bank Draft with you. They may be required later on.
On-Line Applications:
You may also fill the Application Form on-line. To do this, log on to www.kinpoe.org.pk and go to Post Diploma
Training Program. Then click online admission. After filling the form, you will be required to print and post the
form and Bank Draft to KINPOE.
Candidates presently serving in Government/Autonomous/Semi-Autonomous Organisations must apply
through proper channel. No stipend will be paid to them.

INELIGIBILITY
Please do not apply if you do not fulfil our advertised criteria i.e.:
You were born before 02-July-1982 You have 2nd Division (i.e. less than 60% marks) in SSC, HSC, DAE
or BSc

SELECTION PROCESS
After processing of the Application, the Admit Card portion will be returned only to the eligible short-listed
candidates to appear in the Written Test. They may see the status of their application at our website. Shortlisting will be based on the requirement of the PAEC and merit of the candidate. Those who qualify the test
will be called for interview. Admission will be given on merit based on the results of academic qualifications,
Written Test and Interview. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in test or interview. Selected
candidates will be sent to KINPOE / CHASCENT based on their choice, merit and available seats. Else, they
will automatically be offered the other centre.

For Candidates Who Receive No Reply From Admission Cell:

Contact us or check our website for status of your application. If you have been short-listed, but have not
received Admit Card portion, you may come to test centre with photocopy of your form and original CNIC to
appear in the Written Test.

Bring your CLIPBOARD and CALCULATOR on the test day. Borrowing of calculator is not allowed.

Admit Card portion will be returned along with the Sample Test Paper.

3.

Sample Test Paper can also be downloaded from our website.

4.

Candidates who do not appear in the Written Test will stand disqualified and must not contact this office.

5.

This call does not in any way waive your ineligibility, disqualification if warranted, nor does it condone any deficiency in
your application or documents. Your case will not be considered until all notified conditions are fulfilled including the result of
your final examination.

6.

Only those candidates who qualify the Written Test will be called for an interview. Date, time and venue of interview
will be intimated to you by post as well as through our website in the third week of August 2007.

7.

This Admit Card is being dispatched in the self-addressed envelope provided by you. KINPOE does not accept any
liability for the late or non-delivery of this letter.

8.

Keep your MOBILE PHONES OFF at the test centre on the test day.
