Bill: I want to go back to school

Tim: Have you applied?
Bill:
No, my marks/grades have never been very good, even though I tried.
Tim: You know, this university sn't for everybody.
Bill: Ever since I was a little, I wanted to go to schooI here. You know everyo
ne said it couldn't be done, I just want to prove them all wrong.
Tim: If it's really what you want, U could possibly look into Kaplan. It's nea
rby. You would have to study and improve your grades a bit. Plus you would nee
d a good score on the entrance exam. With a good GPA you might even have a ch
ance of getting into a good writing school, you never know.

Scene 2
(Bill is discussing his grades with Tim)
Bill: I know my grades have gone down, but I do have a lot of exracurricular act
ivities
Tim: I can see you have been trying, you are doing great, the scores prove that.
The admissions people are a tough crowd, you never can tell. They're a funny
bunch of people.
Bill: Have I done all I can?
Tim: I don't know Bill......

Scene 3
Tim: Bill, where are you going?
Bill: I quit.
Tim: Don't do this, think about what you're doing first
Bill: That's what I said.
Tim: Come on, in the last two years I have known you, you have never missed a cl
ass or even been late and you're quitting.......now? After you have come so far
.
Bill: I didn't make it.....again. I just don't see the point anymore, I'm sorry
Tim: The only person you should really feel sorry for right now....is yourself.
So what if it didn't work this time. You have to keep going, keep trying. I k
now you, you're better than this.
Bill: I wanted to prove to everyone that I can write. Even write for movies one
day.
Tim: The only person you have to prove anything to is yourself. You owe it to y
ourself not to quit this.
Tim: I know you can do this....just don't let them get the best of you OK?

Scene 4
Bill: If I don't get in next semester, it's over, and I'm done.
Tim: Well you did better than most people chasing down your dream, most people w
ould just give up. You did one hell of a job if you ask me.
Bill: I don't care, if it doesn't produce resuIts, it doesn't mean anything.
Tim: I think it does, quit being so hard on yourself. Over the years.......I've
come up with only one solution.......prayer. It's the only answer.
Bill: Maybe I haven't prayed enough.
Tim: you can pray all you want but faith and prayer requires action. You just h
ave to believe and be patient and allow God to do it in His time.

Scene 5
Bill: I can't believe it, I am SO EXCITED.......it all payed off, I finally get
to see my movie on the big screen.
Tim: I am not going to tell you I told you so, but we both know who to thank for
this. All you had to do was follow your heart.
Bill: Thank you for your advice, it really helped and put things into perspectiv
e for me.
Tim: Anytime
