A common theme that is agreed upon by the vast majority of players is that

PK is dead and this is mostly due to engineering. The risk of mines and wards
however small has discouraged almost any PK, and even upon using them
oneself very little enjoyment comes from combat involving them.
There might be a few bombers that will argue that there are ways to protect
against bombs such as the position you stand and keeping your hp as high or
higher than the bomber. Even if we were to exclude the risk of the bomber
having a higher max hp, him being able to dis and reposition, or having a
bomber walk/tele next to you while youre fighting someone else
mines/wards would be still an inherent issue in PK because it is simply not
fun. PK being so often about trying your hardest to bomb and to not be
bombed is not enjoyable and takes away from the reasons that PK thrived in
the past.
With oldschool PK many options exist for killing and surviving such as various
armor/weap/pots combos, summoning with or w/o stones, spells (harming
when MI dropped, mana drain, etc), group teamwork/ganging, etc. These
aforementioned elements will be enjoyed in PK to their fullest in the following
idea.
After gaining a lot of support for this, I propose the addition of an uncapped
arena or map with no engineering allowed. Any engineering devices will have
no effect. This area would either be no drops or would use rostogols from
inventory to prevent the dropping of any items.
This would certainly benefit many players as it would provide an ideal area
for PK to thrive in a way that is much more enjoyable. It would also be highly
beneficial to Radu due to an increased loss of rostogol stones if it is no drop
w/rostogol, armor/weapon breakages, possibility of re-attracting oldschool
players, and a revitalization of current players to become more active ingame. However, the latter three benefits would probably be more likely if it is
a no drops area since that would encourage more risk-taking and
participation.
For those few that enjoy using mines/wards in PK, know that it would still
certainly be many other PK areas such as KF, TD, and all other maps/arenas
which are correspondingly no drop, always drop, and no drop w/rostogol.
Details regarding this new PK area such as whether it is a map (more space
for fighting and groups, ranging, etc.) or if it is an arena (more spectatorfriendly, no ranging, etc) and what its location would be can be discussed
further down the line upon consideration by Radu. I have received
suggestions that if it is an arena that it would hopefully be on C1, preferably
in a place with an open storage such as Morcraven Marsh.

However, it is firstly most important that all the players that want this to
happen and for those that want to enjoy more PK in the future to show your
support for this idea.
