Big Trouble in Little Kingdom!

Big trouble in
little kingdom!
As reported in these pages
the Bartell family of
Seattle recently crossed
through the breach looking
to open up branches of
their popular west coast
pharmacy chain here in the
city.
Richard
Bartell
current head of the family
business was taken from
his home, killed and his
body parts displayed on
spikes at the border of the
district in the central slums
known
as
Little
Kingdom. We understand
this is likely a gang killing
designed to send a
message to enemies of the
Ten Thunders criminal
gang.

Disruption in
Curmudgeon
Square It was early
in the morning yesterday
when several guild guard
squads were deployed
into Curmudgeon Square
and sealed off all
entrances and exists,
forcing the flower stalls
and food merchants into
the southern access
roads. The guild has
assured this newspaper
that it was in the interest
of public safety that the
cordon remained in
place all day and that no
information as to the
exact nature of the threat
to public safety could be
disclosed.

Rumours from arcanists plot, to

zombie outbreak at the morgue
have been suggested. Amusing
as these ideas might be they
obviously have no basis in the
truth. The reality is the square
was most likely sealed off due
to another gas leak caused by
M&SU negligence. This paper
calls on President Ramos
(picture left) to come forth and
accept responsibility for once
again putting the public in
danger. The Governor has
diplomatically not implicated
the M&SU but this reporter
thinks leniency has limits. The
guild have given the union
enough second chances, its
time to take decisive action to
ensure the safety of the citizens
of Malifaux.

Zukovsky
lights up the
room The businesman
Reuben
Zukovsky,
recently
arrived
in
Malifaux, made quite a
splash at a ball at the
Governors mansion when
he
apparently
demonstrated his new
device, which generates an
enormously
powerful
illumination
for
an
extremely long period of
time from only a very
modest amount of soul
stone dust. The devices
could be used throughout
Malifaux to replace the
current gas lamp system.
Though more expensive to
produce, a single sprinkle
of dust will last a lamp at
least 6 months Zukovsky
claims. It would be an
expensive project to install
the new lamps, but in the
long run the city would
save money and improve
the quality of night time
illumination. Who knows
what the future holds, but
we can say one thing for
sure, it will be bright!

Paradise Falls to be restored The contract

town of paradise falls was tragically declared abandoned earlier
this year after a pack of zombies wandered out of the desert
one night and assaulted the inhabitants of this once burgeoning
cattle ranch in the north east badlands. Promise, to the North
West of Paradise Falls is the nearest large town. It seems the
previous sheriff of Paradise underestimated the danger, and the
Guild are looking for a more experienced permit holding
mercenary to take up the post once a new Mayor can be found.
Cattle need to be bred locally to ensure a good supply of meat,
leather and milk from this side of the Breach. The town has
been cleared of undead by the Death Marshalls and they are
currently interviewing potential candidates for sheriff. Several
families have already applied for business permits, with a view
to move into the town once it is up and running.
