theimportanceofattendingALLlectures.Examquestionswillbebasedonthematerialpresentedinthe
lectures.
Examinations&Grading:
Therewillbefourexamsinthiscourse.Thefirstthreeexams(7/17,7/31,8/12)willcoverthematerial
inthelecturespresentedforthatportionoftheclass(seesyllabus).TheseexamswillbegiveninJavitzRoom
100intheeveningfrom5:006:30PM.Thefinalexam(8/14)willbecumulative(multiplechoice)andwill
covertheentirecourse.Thefinalwillbeheldduringnormalclasstime(notintheevening).Thefinalgradefor
thecoursewillbedeterminedEXCLUSIVELYfromtheresultsoftheexaminationsinthecourse.Eachexam
willcountfor25%ofthefinalgrade.
Thefollowingrulesmustbeobservedduringallexams:
1.DisplayyourstudentIDonyourdeskthroughouttheexam.
2.Leaveatleastoneemptyseatbetweenyouandyourneighbor.
3.Leaveallbooks,notes,papersetc.,bythesideoftheroom.
4.Youmaynotleavetheexamhallforanyreasonuntilyouhavecompletedyourexam.

DuringSummer2010,theclassaverageattheendofthesemesterwas230pointsoutof400totalpointsand

Thesenumbersareforyourguidanceonly.Obviouslythisyear'sgradeswilldependontheclassaverageatthe

Ifyoumissanexam,youMAYbeentitledforamakeupexamprovidedyouhavedonethefollowing:

forwhichyouhadaninterview.Ifyouareabsentfromasecondexamduringthecourse,azerowillbegiven
forthatexam.

Theuniversityrulespermitanyonecaughtcheatingtobefailedinthecourse.Wehavefailedstudentsin
thepastforcheating.Pleasenotethatweroutinelycopyalargefractionoftheexamsbeforereturningthemto
