Janel, I have unleashed my feelings into a work of art. I didn't think hard about this. Stuff just
flowed out. Sometimes, the physical act of doing artwork is more important, and music can help,
too. I basically used Microsoft's Paint program as a scratching post! I call this "Attacking the
Paint"! I know, I know, but you got me fired up, and then it was like "KABOOM!" Maybe art
will help you to process your feelings, too.

It was stupid of me to know what was happening and not offer to help. You could have told me,
but if I didn't realize it and process it and appreciate it for myself, it wouldn't have mattered. You

I'm glad that you have taken some time to think about this whole thing, because if it were me, I
probably would have signed really fast and gotten stuck.
I hate being stuck more than most other things. I don't want to watch you get stuck, okay?
*Hugs* You don't deserve to be stuck. You've got too much clout to get stuck. You don't have to
do that to yourself to make me happy.
I'd like to see you lead the Golden Gophers as a coach. Sometimes you've treated us, your fans,
like we were your kids. It's not too different. You can still inspire others. I think that's the
connection between all of the good ones. That's what will draw people to you on a bad day.

Sometimes I wonder how you do that. Do you remember how you talked everyone into packing
Target Center for the Finals? You can take the Golden Gophers really far with that.
You've been miserable. You can't be happy if you do more of the same stuff.
Can I ask you a question? When you're at your house at night, can you see all of the stars? Just a
heads up: They moved up Daylight Savings Time a few years ago, so the United States will
spring forward by an hour on Saturday night / Sunday morning, as opposed to two weeks from
now.

Early Sunday morning, I bought a trading card with you on it. Im going to put in my wallet and
keep it there forever. Youve always been with me, but I think that this will help a lot. Its nice,
because then I can feel more comfortable, and you wont have to feel bad. You can enjoy
yourself.
When I last checked, the card was at a sorting facility in Bethpage, about forty five minutes away
on Long Island. I should have it within the coming day. We have a great mail carrier, and Im
watching this package like a hawk. I will let you know as soon as I have it.
I know that youre anxious to get going. Lets not be too hasty. We dont want this to get out of
control. Your timing may be a factor. If you tell everyone what youre doing before your Polish
season ends, people will start speculating about your health and forming their own ideas and that
is just not good.

game to worry about, people would be drawn to your teams data and realize that you havent
been able to play lately. People might start to believe that you cant play at all.

Nelly, I love St. Patricks Day. I think of Ireland as a wonderful, magical place, so today is a
special day for me. Something is ruining it for me, though. The parade sponsors in New York and
Boston wont let gay people march. It makes me really angry, and it also really makes me want
to push for things to be fair. Some of today will be good, because I have soda bread and
cupcakes, and Ill try to find other things to do.

I didn't mean to upset you. I didn't know everything that was going on, and I had no way of
knowing, but if I had known...
All I knew was that I wasn't about to let anybody stop you from loving whomever you do, and I
go to bat with that in mind. You've given me so much. You mean a lot to me. I don't want
anybody to mess with you like that. I didn't expect other people's complaining to bother you.
What bothered me was the idea of you being treated as "less than" because of whom you love
and the kinds of things that come to rise because of that attitude, things that hurt a lot of people.

Nelly, I know that you are not in a good mood right now, but theres something thats been
bothering me, and I need to get it off of my chest. Marina mattered to you for a long time, so she
came to matter to me. There were a lot of things that caught my attention and were especially
significant because they had a lot to do with her. Marinas presence has left an imprint upon me,
so its hard to just stop thinking about her all at once. I have no reason to think ill of her, and if I
actively tried to forget her, I would have nothing to work with.

Hey, Nelly! One of the things that I have done in the past is write some short stories, and one of
them is about you renovating your house. Let me walk you through this one. I think that youre
going to love it.
Imagine that youre on your property, and its a beautiful day. A contractor tells you that
everything should be done within a few days. That night, you and Loki lie in your old room and
muse about what the perfect house is like. When you go to sleep, it seeps into your dreams.

Three days later, you get to check the house out. You cross the threshold with excitement. The
living room has light pink paint on the walls and a flat screen TV, and a fireplace, and a couch so
comfortable that you would never want to get up. Imagine a dining room with goldenrod walls
and a table thats big enough for your whole family. The kitchen is huge, with a big refrigerator
and every tool that a chef could wish for.

Janel ran out to see her new backyard. It was green and beautiful. The backyard seemed to be
laced with magic. There were black stones in the middle of the backyard, and they, too, were
imbued with magic. Each stone was engraved with artwork and messages of love and courage.

All of the markings were green. One large stone said Strength Lies Within. It matched a tattoo
on Janels right arm. These were all the hallmarks of a long line of Irish wizards. The largest of
the stones was near a fountain and a bench. Janel took a close look at it.
In Loving Memory of Bonnie Danine McCarville September 17, 1945 - April 19, 2007 Janel sat
alone on the bench, thinking of her mother.
Several hours later, Janel gathered her courage and decided to go into the house. She made her
way to the second floor. She admired the staircases beautiful dark wood finish. She saw that
there was plenty of space to hang more pictures. Janel headed to the bathroom. When she
reached it, she found a porcelain bathtub attached to the far wall. The bathtubs rungs were fitted
with a sky blue shower curtain. The bathroom itself was painted white. Above the bathtub, there
was a stainless steel showerhead. The bathroom also had a porcelain sink and a wooden medicine
cabinet. The bathroom truly seemed like a place to become cleansed.

Then you go to your room and you get a full view of the horizon. There is also an adjacent room
for company. There is an attic where you can keep all of your most precious treasures. After
seeing your house, you are really happy, and you have your whole family over for dinner, and
you make tacos. Thats great for you, because being with your family is like Christmas. Thats it.
Pretty cool, right?
