FOCUS ON ...
Chris Thomas Boyd guitarist Guitarist Chris Thomas of Boyd has been a musician since the age of 6.
He has been a professional, performing musician for more than 20 years
— playing bass guitar for many of those years.
He has performed at venues across the country, including the Chicago
Blues Festival and The House of Blues in Chicago and Dallas. He has
opened for acts such as the Dixie Chicks, BB King and Charlie Robison.
He has gigged with many well-known and popular local acts such as Jason
Ashley and Sonny Burgess.
He is bass player for SuperNova Remnant — a heavy metal Christian
rock band that has recently been featured on 89.7 Power FM and 97.1 The
Eagle. They also played at The House of Blues in Dallas.
Thomas is also the bass player for the country band Les Davidson and
One Drink Away. They currently hold the title for the “Official Band of 92.1
The Legends” after winning top honors at a battle of the bands in Gran-
bury, and they recently opened for Charlie Robison at 8.0 in Fort Worth
after winning a battle of the bands for The Range Radio Station.
He is also a member of a praise band at Living Word Teaching Center
in Rhome where he plays every Sunday and Wednesday.
Today (Oct. 15) also happens to be Thomas’ birthday.
