ACTIVITY 1: Complete all Eight Training Tutorials. For the
first six, go to the
HELP menu in
Algodoo and click on
tutorials. You
should see this box:
for the
seventh tutorial called

Axles and Motors.

for the eighth tutorial called CSG.
As you complete each tutorial, ask a TA or the teacher to initial
your project point sheet.
NOTE: For the Stunt Car, video game, Rube Goldberg,
and any other algodoo creation, make sure you BACK UP
YOUR WORK from time to time.
To BACK UP Algodoo files, just click on the FILE MENU,
choose SAVE SCENE, then make a slight change to your
filename and your folder. For example, change this
filename to NATALIES VIDEO GAME EXAMPLE BACKUP

and change the DIRECTORY or FOLDER to somewhere

else. If you have a flash-drive, bring that to class and
save your backup copy to it.
ACTIVITY 2: Stunt Car - Create a vehicle and a ramp.
-
Create a new scene, and use polygons to
build a ramp.
-
Create a gap
in the middle of the ramp that is
at least 5
meters wide
.
- Create a simple wheeled vehicle. Your vehicle must have its
own motors, and it must be able to leap over that 5-meter gap

on its own power. Show a TA when your vehicle can

successfully leap a 5-meter gap.

ACTIVITY 3: Create your own video game!

Your video game must include:
- at least five different types of materials
(e.g., glass, wood, stone,

etc.),
- it must be a two-player game (either player vs. player or cooperative)
with different sets of controls, and there must be some way for either side to
win.
Here is an example of a simple maze game, where you must guide a ball
through a labyrinth of deadly lasers.
