IMPORTANT NOTICE (2nd List)

Admissions to M.A. Economics 2015-2016

Selected Candidates wishing to join the progamme must report to Room No. 104 (1st Floor),* to
fill the registration form and pay their fees between 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday (July
20, 2015) and between 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday (July 21, 2015).
Fees: the fees are to be paid by cash only. The total Fees to be paid during the provisional
admission are:
(i)
8075/- (for Non D.U. Students)
(ii) 7975/- (for D.U. Students)
(iii) 375/- (for PWD students)
Outstation candidates who are unable to reach Delhi in time to deposit the fees must inform us of
their intention to join the Course either in writing or by fax or e-mail at the following address by
21st July, 2015 up to 1:00 p.m.

Those who fail to inform the office of their intention to join by 1:00 P.M. on 21st July, 2015 are
liable to forfeit their seats. Candidates who have intimated the Office will have to deposit the
fees latest by 24th July, 2015 between 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. As the classes begin on
22nd July, 2015, they are advised to reach Delhi as soon as possible.
As decided by Delhi University, candidates who are eligible on the basis of the Entrance Test,
but do not have results of their qualifying degree examination, shall not be allowed provisional
admission. Such candidates may, however, be considered for admission in the subsequent
admission lists, if any, provided they submit the result of the qualifying examinations by the
relevant dates.

*Selected PWD students who are unable to come to the first floor may complete the admission formalities
in Room 013 (Ground Floor). They may send a message to Room 104 and a member of the staff will
come down to provide assistance.

To avoid unnecessary delays, you can print out a copy of the admission form from the website
econdse.org and fill it up before coming. Forms will also be available at Room No. 104 (1st
Floor)
To complete admission formalities please submit the Completed form and two passport size
photographs along with the following documents in original and self-attested photocopies.
1. Degree/ University/ College provisional Certificate
2. Mark-sheet of the qualifying Examination
3. Matriculation Certificate (For Date of Birth)
4. SC/ST/OBC/CW/PH Certificate (if relevant)
5. Migration Certificate (for candidates other than D.U. Enrolled)
6. Equivalence Certificate from AIU, New Delhi, applicable only if the qualifying
examination is from a foreign university
7. Print out of the Online application form

Outstation candidates who are unable to reach Delhi in time but have intimated the department
about their intention to join can produce these documents by 24th July, 2015 up to 4:00 p.m.
There will be an orientation for the incoming batch on Monday, 20th July 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in
the Lecture Theatre of the Delhi School of Economics. Candidates are required to attend
the orientation. The admission related formalities should be completed after attending the
orientation.
