THE orejon
It was his second day of school. Henry sat on the first desk in the living room, next to the
window, as recommended by your teacher came into class mam.La and said "good
morning". Today we will study some animals. It will start with the ass, that animal so useful
to mankind, strong, long ears, and ... "Like Henry," interrupted a voice from the back of the
room.
Many children began to laugh loudly and looked at Henry.
Who said that ?, asked the teacher, although he knew well who had told him.
It was Quique said pointing to a girl beside a freckled little boy of five.
Children, children, Mily said his voice strong and getting angry face. They should not make
fun of others. That's not right and I will not allow in my class. Everyone was silent, but
heard a few giggles.
A while later a ball of paper head thrashed Thomas. Flipping did not see who had thrown it,
and again some were laughing at him. He decided to ignore the taunts and continued
looking at pictures of animals showing Mily. It was very sad but did not cry.
At recess Henry opened his lunchbox and began to eat the delicious sandwich his mother
had prepared for him. Two children standing nearby yelled, "big ears, big ears hear, do not
eat so much that you will get out tail like an ass" and laughed. Other children looked
around him and playing their own ears, smiled and whispered. Henry understood for the
first time, he really was born with slightly larger ears. "Like his grandfather Manuel" had
heard him tell his dad once.
Suddenly screams were heard from the music room, which I left a lot of smoke. Henry
came and saw several children locked unable to leave because a naughty child had put a
broomstick in the locks. Through the glass faces of the little crying, screaming and looked
very frightened. Inside something was burning and the flames grew. Teachers did not
realize the danger, and none of the children dared to do anything.
Henry, without hesitating for a second, left his lunch box and ran to the living room door
and despite the smoke and heat coming out, grabbed the broom that trababa and pulled
hard. Children rush out and everyone started salvo.Henry he fell as a hero. All praised his
courage. Children who had mocked him were grieved.
At home, Henry told what happened to their family, so they were all proud of him. The next
day, no child taunted Henry. They understood that they were only apparent physical
defects, but instead the value of Henry to save his comrades was more valuable and worthy
of admiration.
