a. Final grades are rounded to the next whole number if they are at, or above, the

Additional letter grades have "no weight" and are NOT computed into the grade
point average. They are:
P = Pass
NC = No credit

a . Individual Management Style Papers-For each paper students will


select one critical area in healthcare management from the following 7 important
management areas covered in this course: problem solving, decision making,
delegation, team participation, conflict resolution, motivation OR performance
evaluation.

Paper 2 - Due by 11:00 p.m. - Sunday, April 5, 2015

4. How do you submit the papers for this course?
a. All assignments must be prepared as Word documents and sent as attachments.
When we are ready to title our documents on our computer our title MUST include:
our last name, course number, section number and unit number- on all documents.
b. Make sure we DO NOT delete these sent e-mails on our computer until the
instructor return each unit with faculty comments there is always a chance our e-mail
may get lost in cyberspace and we may need to forward the instructor our original email with the attachment.
c. In the subject heading of our e-mail, we MUST include our last name, course
number, section and the unit assignment
(ex: our Last Name NURS4420 21 Unit 1)
d. All unit assignments MUST be submitted directly to me via e-mail.
e. All papers and the Final exam MUST be submitted through SafeAssign.
5. What is APA style?
APA (American Psychological Association) style is most commonly used
to cite sources with the social sciences. This resource, revised according to the 6th
edition, second printing of the APA manual, offers examples for the general
format of APA research papers, in- text citations, endnotes/footnotes, and the
reference page. For more information, we can consult the Publication Manual of
the American Psychological Association.
6. What is SafeAssign?
It is the plagiarism detection tool that is used by FDU. SafeAssign checks
students work (papers) against the Internet, the ProQuest ABI/Inform data bases,
and a worldwide database of student papers for matching text. For the course we
have, the assignments requiring submission through SafeAssign are located in
Webcampus under the Assignment heading.

a. SCORE- It is an abbreviation from Student Centered Online Resources for
Education.

Integrity Policy?
Academic dishonesty includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following:

information, or study aids in an examination or academic exercise.
b. PlagiarismRepresenting the ideas or language of others as one's own.

exercise more than once for credit without the prior authorization and approval of
the current instructor.

9. What are the sanctions that may be imposed if the Academic Integrity Policy
is violated?
For a subsequent violation of academic integrity, a student will be subject to any
combination of the above sanctions, and, after due review by the academic dean
according to the procedure below, one of the following:
a. Suspension from the University for one year. Readmission will be contingent
upon the approval of the academic dean.
b. Dismissal from the University.
c. Dismissal from the University identified on the students academic transcript as
a result of a violation of the Academic Integrity Policy.

a. Unit assignments will be due on Tuesdays by 11:00 p.m. (15%) OR earlier.
b. Assignments are due in or before the due date. Late assignments will NOT be
accepted.

for the course.

Blackboard and must check the Announcements and Discussion Board assignments
weekly.
