A Day in the Life: Mexico

Whats it like to live in Mexico? Heres how one girl spends a typical day.
My Name is Paulina Olmos Lpez. I am 10 years old and in the fifth grade. I live with my mom and my brother in an
apartment in Mexico City, the capital.
600 a.m. Buenos das! I wake up and take a shower. Because I wear a uniform to school, it doesnt take me too long to get
dressed.
6:30 a.m. For breakfast, my mom makes me a ham-and-cheese sandwich and I get to have one cup of coffee.
7:15 a.m. My mom drops me off at school. After we say goodbye, she goes to work.
8:00 a.m. Classes begin for the day and go until 2:00 p.m.
2:30 p.m. I begin workshops. Some days, I have hockey practice. Other days, I play soccer.
3:00 p.m. My mom picks me up from school and we drive home together. Sometimes, she buys me ice cream from a cart
outside the school gate.
3:40 p.m. I get home and do my homework in my bedroom. When I have time, I like to lie on my bed and read.
7:30 p.m. I eat an early dinner with my mom and my brother. When were done, my mom goes back to work. While she is at work, I stay home
with my brother. brother and I usually watch TV together.
8:00 p.m. I have a snack, usually something like cereal, and get ready for bed.
8:30 p.m. Its time to go to sleep. Good night!

usually, the subjects you attend to, the hobbies or things you like to do.
