ATHLETICS MANAGER BOB MELVIN:

On coming back from a five run deficit
You lose your starting pitcher like that, and next thing you know your down five runs. Sometimes its a challenge to keep
your spirit up, but it was more of what we saw the other day. The at-bats were good, led to another good at-bat, and got
better as the game went on. Not only did we have the seven-run inning, but added on after that. Really one of our better
games of the year.
On a strong performance from a struggling bullpen
We had some guys that were not used to pitching in those types of roles, pitching a couple of innings. Mujica, thats the
best stuff weve seen out of him this year. Venditte gave us two innings too. All the way around, one of our better wins this
year, both pitching and offense.
