12 Rabi-ul-Awwal 1431 Parents Meeting

On Sunday the 7th of February, ISOMER Sunday School welcomed students and
parents back to Sunday school. We would like to thank all the parents who attended the
meeting.

For those parents who did not attend, here are some points that were discussed:
o Sheikh Majidih discussed the subjects that will be taught in the first
semester.
o We have introduced a “code of conduct and discipline policy” for
parents and students to read, respect and adhere to. If you have not received
one, please contact sister Salma. Parents should ensure that the code of
conduct is signed by the parent, as well as the student/s attending Isomer, and
returned to sister Salma.
o Please take note school times are from 8.45am promptly until after
Zuhr salaah; which is obligatory on all students. Please ensure attendance is
timeous, as this will avoid time wasting.
o Parents should also ensure that they have filled out 2 enrolment forms.
One of is for the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development
and the other is for Isomer’s records.
o Please take note, that these forms need to be submitted to ISOMER by
no later then the 28 February. Students will not be allowed into the school if the
form is not signed by the day schools Principal and has the schools official
stamp. 28 February is also the same date for new enrolments; thereafter no
new enrolments can be submitted.

Homework

Homework plays a huge part in a child’s education. A homework sheet will be given to
all students. Parents need to ensure that their child / ren’s homework is completed.
Please sign the homework sheet and return to the school the following Sunday.

Donations

We value parents’ commitment to donating lollies, chips, drinks and food. However, we
would like to ask parents to take note of the following when donating any food item. All
products need to be HALAL, please check the expiry date on the product and ensure
that the ingredients are displayed on the products.
If you would like to donate to the school, please contact Sheikh Majidih or brother Fadil.

Allergies / Sickness

We would like to ask your co-operation in a very important matter.

Some children may have life threatening allergies to peanut butter, nuts, foods
containing nuts, and fish.
If your child has any sickness or allergy, please notify sister Salma or the class teacher
as soon as possible.
