The Taj Mahal Hotel, Mumbai and Taj Safaris present The Outdoor
Journal and Ibex Expeditions Adventure Stories
Mumbai 28th August 2015: In a constant endeavor to provide unique and
memorable experiences that are treasured for life, The Taj Mahal Hotel,
Mumbai and Taj Safaris hosted the Mumbai edition of Adventure Stories.
First of its kind, about the adventure and experience across India, Adventure
Stories believes in the power of change through personal stories of explorers,
adventurers, and people who take on a different lifestyle. Over various
editions, it has become an event that is inspirational and one of its kind in
India.
Taj Safaris, Indias first luxury wildlife travel circuit that offers four exquisite
lodges in the national parks of Madhya Pradesh, in association with The
Outdoor Journal and Ibex Expeditions presented an evening of incredible tales

of courage, travel and adventures from across the globe.

Presented by Charu Sharma, well known sportscaster, the Mumbai edition
features Ratna Singh, first professionally qualified lady naturalist; Vijay
Crishna Actor, Explored Antarctica with Robert Swan and trekked in the
Himalayan and Tibet; Mandip Singh Soin Frgs, Himalayan & Alpine Climber,
Arctic Explorer, National Adventure awardee, Founder, IBEX Expeditions as
the speakers.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Apoorva Prasad, Founder & Editor-inChief, The Outdoor Journal "I'm very excited to see Adventure Stories
grow and come to Mumbai. The Adventure Stores bring a blend of
adventure, exploration and passion for all things outdoors. For this edition
stories, we have incredible speakers like Ratna Singh, Mandip Singh Soin and
Vijay Crishn. Each of them comes with a unique story from places close and
far; to inspire us and to make us more alive."
Mr Mandip Singh Soin FRGS, Founder & Managing Director, Ibex
Expeditions, India said The Planet is my Home, according to a 3rd
century Vedic saying. At Adventure Stories, we can expand this idea to imply

that the entire Universe is our home. Adventure Stories hopes to ignite the
spirit of exploration amongst the audience in order to embark on journeys
that take us Beyond, allowing us to expand the boundaries of our mind and
renew our faith and knowledge in humanity and our wonderful Universe.

About the speakers:
Ratna Singh, Indias first professional female naturalist became the
company's first professionally qualified lady naturalist. She feels humbled to
have been selected as a finalist for India's Best Naturalist award by TOFT in
2012.
Mandip Singh Soin FRGS is an Explorer, Mountaineer, Environmentalist and
an Ecotourism specialist and is the Founder & Managing Director of Ibex
Expeditions Pvt Ltd, an award winning customized Adventure, Cultural, Safari
& Luxury Travel Company in India, since 1979.
Vijay Crishna, Vijay Crishna schooled in Simla and Ajmer, developing a love
for hill walking and the outdoors. He has also enjoyed a love for theatre since
that time playing, among other parts in the 50 years since, a conservation
ranger in a series for Indian television in the 80's. He read about Shackleton's
amazing journey, inspiring his joining Sir Robert Swan's expedition to
Antarctica in 2013. He works for Godrej since 1977, has trekked in the
Himalaya, to Tibet and driven down the great Pamir
Charu Sharma, He started his sports casting career in 1982 at the IX Asian
Games for the National Network of India and carried on to become the most
respected multisports television commentator & anchor of the country..
