There will be a presentation on DOs and DONTs regarding
rabies by Dr. N.L. Gangadhar, a senior Scientist on zoonosis,
following which there will be an interactive session with
students and staff on the practical approaches to the
prevention issues of stray dogs and citizen health safeguards.
About 200 members are expected to participate. Mr. D.V.
Nagesh will chair the session.

Together with our local and international partners, as well as our
volunteers, Mission Rabies aims to vaccinate 70% of the dog
population of the State of Goa in India.
During this time we will also run surgical training courses for
veterinarians and educate children and the general public in
responsible dog ownership and the dangers of rabies.
On World Rabies Day, Mission Rabies will hold a rally to raise
awareness for rabies and the project.
