QXManager QoS is an advanced, active and
distributed Network Management System
designed to support Enterprise and Telecom
industries in their migration to the packet
switched IP networks. Voice, Video, Data and
Mobile are converging there and an excellent
End-to-End Quality of Service (QoS) has become
their top priority.

Overview
As overall Solution, QXManager QoS allows you to perform:

QXManager QoS is based on software agents thet do not necessary require any dedicated
hardware based probe, but can run over a standard PC

QXManager QoS consists of a central server, QXManager


Console, and software agents, QXAgents.
QXManager Console configures and sends the QXAgents
to the target devices via IP.
When test measurements end or when the time-to-live
expires, QXAgent uploads results to QXManager Console, and uninstalls itself.
QXAgents perform the required tests and
then QXManager Console stores the measurements results on an mySQL or Oracle
Database.

QXManager QoS allows active testing between agents installed on remote PC or dedicated probes,
and measurement servers deployed in the network

QXManager QoS provides proactively an End-to-End solution for the QoS verification of wireless and wireline access networks regardless of services.

Service Quality measurements


In case of deployment of triple and quadruple play, QXManager QoS supports functional End-to-End testing
based on G.107 and MDI algorithms for QoS of Audio
and Video over IP.

Benchmarking analysis
Regularly IT and network managers need to benchmark
their networks in order to evaluate their performance
and then to make decisions about future network investments.
QXManager QoS offers a set of customizable scheduled
reports for benchmarking analysis for finding and resolving the issues that can lead to poor service quality.

All the reports are available for long-term trend and statistical analysis over configurable time periods. Their
output is exportable to EXCEL, TEXT, XML, PDF, HTML or
RTF files and then they can be published as WEB pages.
Large network scale analysis: a single QxManager Console controls thousands of QXAgents and collects detail
traffic data from each of them.

Supported Protocols and Measures

With QXManager QoS the Operator can easly pinpoint performance and quality issues
with two easy steps: filter the measure and recall the analysis results

Data Test: SMTP, POP3, HTTP, HTTPs, FTP, and PING.


Multimedia Services test: NetMeeting Video Stream,
AudioStream, RealAudio, MPEG Audio/Video Stream,
NetShow, SIP VoIP, IPTV and Video Telephony.
Benchmarking terminology for network interconnection devices based on IETF RFC 2544, IETF RFC 1242.
Definition of the QoS parameter for the Internet Access
based on the ETSI EG 202 057-4 V1.1.1. (2005-10).
Audio and IPTV Video MOS based on ITU G.107 E-model
and on MDI IETF RFC 4445s.
