Fire Doesnt Fall On Empty Altars

October 11-October 17

Father God,
Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Pastor
Ron and his family. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I
believe your love is flowing through me to other people. Help me to obey
my parents so things will go well with me and I will live a long life on the
earth. I will tell how great You are and how much I love You. I thank You
that by Jesus stripes I am healed.
In Jesus name, Amen

I will offer my body as a sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God.

Romans 12:1
He must increase, and I must decrease.
John 3:30
My flesh finds no glory in Your Presence, but I glory in my salvation
which You provided for me through the death and the resurrection
of Your Son, Jesus.
I Corinthians 1:29

We can stand in the gap between God and the people who dont know
Him yet.

Romans 12:1, Offer your bodies as a sacrifice, holy and pleasing to

God, this is your spiritual act of worship.

The eyes of unsaved people are blinded so they dont see their sins
or know they need to be saved. When we pray from a heart that is
deeply burdened for the lost, we are working with the Holy Spirit to
remove the blindfold so they can see clearly the light of the gospel of
Christ. This way of praying is called intercession. It is standing in the
gap for the ones who dont know how to repent for their own sins.
Your prayers cannot repent for them, but can push back the enemy,
allowing the Holy Spirit to let that person see through the pain of
their sin to the Savior who is waiting with open arms to
forgive them. That is why you are driven to tears, weeping for them
to turn from their sins. The Holy Spirit will pray through you when
you pray in tongues and while you dont know just exactly what you
are praying you can trust the Holy Spirit, who will use your voice, to
pray the perfect prayer.
Josiah was only 8 years old when his father who was the king died.
That meant Josiah would now be the king of Judah. His father and
grandfather had both been evil kings who did not obey Gods laws
and led Gods people to worship idols. The temple where they were
supposed to worship and learn about God had not been taken care
of and no one knew where the Laws of God were. No one obeyed
the laws because they had forgotten what the laws of God said.
Josiah was not like his father and grandfather. When King Josiah was
20 years old he tore down the idols and commanded that the temple
of God be restored. Hilkiah, the High Priest, found the Book of the
Law (Gods Word) in the temple. When it was read to Josiah, the
young king immediately repented for the sins of his nation. Then he
read the Book of the Law to the people and they repented and returned to worship God. Because of Josiahs intercession for the sins
of his parents and his nation God had mercy on Josiah and his entire
generation. His intercession was fuel for the fire of God to move on
an entire nation.
