PREFACE
The future of India is in the hands of Young Men and Women who are in
colleges and universities said Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India. This
is so very true as the future of this country is being chiselled in the class rooms of
colleges and universities now. The world is everchanging and it is going to be
knowledge economy in future. The present day world is based on science and
technology. It is education that determines the level of prosperity, welfare and security of
people. Once can presume that proper training to the youth alone, significantly enhances
the skills and employable competencies of the students to compete at global level.
We are likely to develop a sense of self-satisfaction in our everyday academic
exercise. NAAC has given us an opportunity to shake off this feeling and make an
objective assessment of our strengths and weaknesses. After going through the laborious
but pleasant exercise of preparing the SSR, we are able to judge ourselves and our
position on the ladder of progress. It has also given us an opportunity to hold a mirror to
our academics, administration and ambience in which we work, making us realize our
shortcomings. We hope that this would inspire us to better our teaching - learning
activity and adhere and practice the core values in the changing scenario in higher
education, so that we may realize our long cherished aims and objectives in teaching
learning process.
The SSR report is a collective work of all the teaching and non-teaching staff
members. I sincerely appreciate the support of the College management and the efforts
put in by the members of staff in preparing the SSR with dedicated team Sprit.
It would be an immense pleasure to hear from you soon on peer team visit to our
college.
Thanks to NAAC
