Read the following text about a Portuguese football star.

The football star Cristiano Ronaldo was born on February 5th 1985 on the
Portuguese island of Madeira, which is in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of
Morocco and about 350 miles south-west of continental Portugal. He grew up in a
small house in the city of Funchal and began playing football for a youth team in
Madeira, where his dad was the teams equipment manager.
Cristiano Ronaldo was already a huge football star on the island, but he
moved to Lisbon when he was just 12 years old to play for Lisbons Sporting youth
team. The move was very difficult for Cristiano because he was away from his
parents, his brother and his sisters and many of his schoolmates made fun of his
Madeiran accent.
He played his first game for Sporting in the Portuguese super League when
he was 17 and quickly became famous as one of the most exciting young football
players in the world. In fact, all the football experts think that his footwork and goalscoring touch are really brilliant.
