Dear sir,
Complaints about School Canteen
With reference to the title above, I would like to complain about the poor
service of our school canteen.
2.
about the hygience condition of our school canteen. The dirty floor is an
eyesore to the students who dine in the canteen. Worse still(),
the drains are clogged by the leftovers dumped into them. As a result, they
emit foul stench which disheartens() the students while they are
having their meals. In addition, the food and drinks sold by the canteen lack
variety. The students are fed up eating the same food everyday.
3.
For your information, there are reports that dead flies and
mosquitoes found in the food and drinks. This shows that the canteen
workers do not handle the food in a proper way. Besides, they never cover
their hair. Some of them even show lackadaisical() attitude when
serving the food. The facilities of the canteen still have room for
improvement(). For instance, there are insufficient table and
chairs to cater to the needs() of the students which are growing in
number.
3.
On the other hand, ther workers are advised to wear caps and
aprons while handling the food. More benches and tables should be added
to tackle() the problem of insufficient place of eating.

Yours faithfully,
Richard Hew

Model Answer 8:
The Best Group Leader
By Michael Hew
In the leadership camp organised by our school, Jason Chen was
selected as the best group leader. He is currently 17 years old and he has two
siblings, including an elder brother and a younger sister. He comes from a
modest family(). His father works as a businessman while her mother
is a housewife. He is now studying at SMK Seri Super.
Jason Chen is chosen as the best group leader because he
exhibited() good manner in the camp. He is regarded() as a
responsible person as he abided by()all the rules in the camp. Other than
that, he is caring towards others too. He attended to()any problem faced
by his group members. For example, when a member was injured in the camp,
he brought her for medical attention promptly().
Moreover, he earned the title the best speaker for camp debate. His
points of view are substantial() and convincing(). He often
hits the nail on the head() in his speech. As a quick-witted(
)debater, he succeeded in leading his team in winning the debate
competition. In addition, he was voted as the most cooperative group leader
and it was an icing on the cake() for him.
On the last day of the camp, the organizer issued() a certificate of
Achievement and RM500 as an incentive() for his brilliant performance in
17
the camp. He is indeed a role model which the students should look up to.

The Lack of Interest in Sports Among the Students of SMK Seri Super
Recently, I have conducted a survey to find out the reasons why the
students in our school lose their interest in sports. Here are the findings of
my survey. First of all, the students show lackadaisical attitude towards
sports(). They assume/regard()sport as a hot,
dirty and sweaty activity. They also cited that they are lack of time(
). They have no ample time() to engage in(
) sports because they are busy doing the homeworkassigned()
bytheir teachers.
On the other hand, it is undeniable that() the parents place
more emphasis on the academic performance() of their
children. Nowadays, it is a common scenario that the parents send their
children to tuition classes and seminars(
)to boost/strengthen/intensify/reinforce/sharpen up()their
study skill.
In addition, the condition of sports facilities should be taken into
account as one of the factors which leads to this scenario().Currently,
there is insufficient sports equipment to cater to (
)theneeds of our students.Worse still(), the poor
condition of the field and courts draws the anger() of the students
who want to carry out activities.
