Na Coillte Dubh

Hunters Vigil, get the mission from a fat, greedy merchant named Baron Kelgar. He
tells them that there is a device in the woods that hes heard about, and he wants it.
Its a crown like cypher and should be near some of the old ruins. He offers them a
lot of shins (300 each).
Get into forest. Things go monochrome.
Ask left and right and straight.
First encounter is the herd.
Next they will encounter the Earthshakers.
Then they will come upon the Trapped People.
They will wander into the Orchestra Herd
They will discover traces of the Ravage Bears and sneak past them.

Spirits of the Forest there are large, white ghostlike creatures that walk around
the forest. They will interact with humans, asking them politely not to harm the
trees. They will talk to the players asking them what they seek here in the woods.
The machine and accelerator - A large, thin building with four columns
surrounding it. An archway, like a door, exists here for human sized creatures, yet it
looks like they can just walk in from anywhere. Once they approach, a robotic voice
speaks. Step back, you are entering the Primes domain. You are not welcome. You
see a spherical device, floating about head height, float down from the top of a
column. A single mechanical eye scans you. You are not welcome. Leave the area.
Warning one initiated.
The accelerator is paranoid. It is nervous of them and tells them that this is its
domain. It does not appreciate humans wandering in here. If they want to barter
cyphers for passage, it will allow it, but it will watch them carefully, and when they
exit, it will have a trap setup.
The building upon closer inspection appears to be an obelisk, with the door about
thirty foot off the ground.
Inside, the players find that there are three people inside. They look exhausted and
frightened.
The Earthshakers as you walk, you feel a rumbling, then you hear a thunderous
stomping. Approaching from your right you see a creature, near fifty feet tall,
devouring the tops of trees. Next to it is another, smaller creature, only 30 feet tall.
Two more follow, these only a little bit smaller than the biggest. It notices you, but
doesnt seem concerned.
The Herd - As you walk, you see a small creature, the size of a cat but with the
build of a lion with large ears. Its grazing on the grass beneath it. Looking around,

you see lots of the creatures. Among them stands a metallic creature, this one about
three feet tall. A red eye looks in your direction and scans you. Its armour extends
to show some spikes. Threat detected.
This one protects the herd.
Orchestra Herd - As you walk, you hear, impossibly, the sound of an orchestra. It
sounds like hundreds performing a stirring piece of music. As you approach closer,
you see from the treeline that in a clearing there are ten creatures. Four legged,
bringing forth images of birds and reptiles, they seem to be grazing on the grey
grass with their beaks. CALYPTOR
Trapped People - Examining the canister/cell reveals:
The holes through which the trapped people speak are only about 3 inches (8 cm) across.
The metal is level 8 and highly resistant to physical force of any kind.
An access panel has a receptacle for some kind of key or similar device. Using this panel to
open the canister without the release mechanism is a level 10 task.
Horrik has a heavy crossbow and a sword-staff. He is a barrel-chested, squarebearded,
mostly honorable sort, although he is full of bluster and bravado.
Nils is tall and wiry with a patch over one eye and a mech arm. He has a blowgun and a
knife, both of which are poisoned. He rarely speaks and trusts almost no one.
Tavarana is tall and striking, with flowing robes covering her armor. She wields a slugspitter
artifact that inflicts 6 points of damage at short range. The wise woman is careful with her
words, but shes willing to give orders or advice when needed.
Yeri is a short, pale white mutant (white skin, white hair, white eyes). She is talkative but
does whatever Tavarana instructs.
