e condemn unreservedly the

demonstration in Cardiff called
by War Against ISIS, which claims
over 1,600 members and support
from South Wales National Front and
Valleys Frontline Firm. In reality this
is not about ISIS which we all
condemn but about using them as
an excuse to attack the Muslim
community. The evidence is on their
masthead which says: F***k Islam
and F***k ISIS. This is a nasty little
group of fascists trying to replace the
BNP.
The truth is that as racists try to
build a backlash it is the Muslim
community that becomes the victim
of ISIS and we must defend all our
community otherwise ISIS wins.
During the 1930s fascists in Britain
targeted and attacked Jewish people
in Britain. At the time Jews were

fleeing the horrors of Nazi Germany,

literally fleeing for their lives.
Todays fascists target Muslims in our
community, at a time when tens of
thousands of Muslims are fleeing civil
war and the horrors of Isis atrocities.
According to Freedom of Information
requests to police forces, anti-Muslim
hate crimes doubled between 2012
and 2013. These incidents have been
on the increase ever since. They
include petrol bomb attacks, arson
and murder. Often the brunt of
violence is born by women in Islamic
dress.
For these reasons Unite Against
Fascism Wales and Stand Up To
Racism Wales are convening a
counter demonstration in Cardiff on
Saturday 5 December. Please join us
in support of a tolerant, peaceful and
diverse Cardiff.
