4. One page Summary.
THE FOOD WE EAT.

From the content of this presentation, the learners were taught skills to prepare healthy meals
for them to maintain a healthier body. Learners were also taught about the importance of
plants as the main source of food for humans and animals. From the internet learners were
taught to Google information food pyramid, the digestive system etc. The information
discovered actually wasn’t limited to how to prepare a menu for a balanced meal only but
also integrated into learners developing interest into entrepreneurial skills. They were asked
to draw menus of which that demanded them to go to the internet and compare menus.

The next point was that learners also discovered that healthy eating habits and exercises
breeds healthy bodies and minds. People eat because they are hungry, we eat because we

need energy. Our bodies need food to grow and work properly. Most of this enlightening
information was discovered on the internet because one web page contains a lot of
information about a topic and gives one the opportunity to visit related site.

As a school which has partnerships with Woolworths and Discovery vitality, learners got the
opportunity to visit their sites to see the relationship between Natural Science as a learning
area and all the activities they were taught by Woolworths and the Discovery group
facilitators visiting the school.
