Purpose of this assignment

This assignment should provoke understanding of different organisations, the

influence of stakeholders and the relationship between businesses and the local, national
and
global environments.Candidates should be able to analyse the impacts of internal and
external factors on businesses along with the impacts of these organisations on a countrys
economy.
Scenario
1.Air

bus a large aircraft manufacturing company announced in 2007 that its goal
was to increase $475 million research budget by 25% in order to try to develop a
more environment friendly aircraft that had lower fuel consumption. Economics
textbooks sometimes criticize firms in imperfect competition as being against public
interest.
2.In 2005 London energy stated that as a company it invested millions of pounds in
improving efficiency to reduce costs. However as world energy prices had increased
it had been forced to increase the price it charged to customer. London energy has
ceased to be a monopoly supplier in the region.
