The song :
Written in 1966 with a humorous and popular tone, this song will become a success. It was
aired on Tv and the radio.
The song is written in a poet maneer by a singer called Pierre Perret
It is a happy and lively song which talks about summer camps. In the
60's, it was the time of the new holidays for children : they could go
in summer camps to practise sport and to have fun without their
parents. It allowed children to discover ski, the sea or to discover
nature, with other young people : nature. This song talks about this
happy holidays : for them, these camp allowed them to have fun and to mess around.
This song describes a letter wrote by a little boy,who his 8 years old, to his parent from the holiday
camp where he's spending his holidays.
He thanks them and tells them not to worry.
He explains what is happening in the holiday camp but it's not reassuring at all.
For exemple, he's bathing in the swers or that he's playing in junk yards...
The little boy seems to like this kind of fun and doesn't care about what his parents could think.
He thanks them for this holidays and asks them to go there again next year.
In this song , Pierre Perret describes the summer camp as not very
good ( dirty, where you eat bad things (even mistreated), where all
children are sick... ) and the consequence is that parents hesitate to
sent their children there. Thats why this song was forbidden for a time.
But today, this song is still a success and it is singing by all children in summer camps, every
year.

Les jolies colonies de vacances
Merci maman, merci papa

*The words :
Je me lve
Et je te bouscule
Tu n'te rveilles pas
Comme d'habitude
Sur toi
Je remonte le drap
J'ai peur que tu aies froid
Comme d'habitude
Ma main
Caresse tes cheveux
Presque malgr moi
Comme d'habitude
Mais toi
Tu me tournes le dos
Comme d'habitude
Alors
Je m'habille trs vite
Je sors de la chambre
Comme d'habitude

it's a song written by Jean Renard and Gilles Thibaut for Johnny Hallyday in 1969,
context :demonstrations against traditional values, and for women's liberation and sexual
freedom.
the song is about how much a man loves a woman, and more precisely describes how he
feels when they make love. A lot of images are used in the lyrics to show the physical

excitation and so on.
QUE JE T'AIME
1969
Quand tes cheveux s'talent
Comme un soleil d't
Et que ton oreiller
Ressemble aux champs de bl
Quand l'ombre et la lumire
Dessinent sur ton corps
Des montagnes des forts
Et des les au trsor
Que je t'aime que je t'aime que je t'aime
Que je t'aime que je t'aime que je t'aime
Quand ta bouche se fait douce
Quand ton corps se fait dur
Quand le ciel dans tes yeux
D'un seul coup n'est plus pur
Quand tes mains voudraient bien
Quand tes doigts n'osent pas
Quand ta pudeur dit non
D'une toute petite voix
Que je t'aime que je t'aime que je t'aime
Que je t'aime que je t'aime que je t'aime

Song: Mditerrane
This song deals with a Region in the South of France called the Midi (French Riviera)
where the climate is quite hot and where there is the Mediterranean Sea.
He describes this place as if it was Heaven. The islands are made of gold,
there is no cloud in the magic sky. The sea appears so blue and very soft.
The hundred gardens make necklaces with flowers.
He says that its a fairy who gave this place its beauty.
He asks questions. At the moonlight can you hear the echo of the waves away?
Can you hear the music and the songs which come every night and make all the lovers
One of the French persons who was interviewed, evoked it as a song representative
of the sixties. Even if this song was first sang in 1956, Tino Rossi kept singing it in
the 60's.
At that time, this song symbolized the summer holiday, free time to have some rest or
moments to think about something else than work.
