1. THESIS STATEMENT

Catholic worker movement changed the lives of people by providing them shelter and
stepping up to the situations that occurred at the time when this started.
2. SUMMARY OF PROJECT

Briefly explain your project and its conclusion. Include: How and why did change happen and what was the
impact? Why is it historically significant? What historical meaning or importance can we learn from your
findings?
Our project is about The catholic worker movement and how it benefited the whole world. During the great
depression many people didn't have money or food. Churches started helping out people by providing shelter
and food. This is important because it improved how society worker together and churches became more
important.

Explain how this project integrates the ND theme Exploration, Encounter and Exchange into its argument.

This project integrates the ND theme Exploration, Encounter, and Exchange because Peter and
Dorothy believed in nonviolence, they wanted to help others, they both wanted the same things for the
people around them.

4. PROCESS

A. What historical question did you start off withand how did it change once you

began doing your research?


Our first question was what is the catholic worker movement. Once we began
researching more we came up with more questions like who were Dorthy day and Peter
Maurn what did the great depression have to do. When we began our research we
learned many different things about churches.

B. What kinds of sources did you use as evidence to develop your argument (for
example, letters, photographs, government documents, interviews, etc.)?

The sources we used as evidence to developed my argument was photographs,


videos and also quotes.

C. Select one piece of evidence that you used and explain how it influenced your

argument.
The quotes influenced our argument because it gave us a different perspective on how
the Catholic Worker Movement provided necessities for people who were less fortunate.

D. List libraries (other than school), museums, and other institutions that you visited
to do your research.
