1. THESIS STATEMENT
Present the projects argument or interpretation in two sentences. If you are using the NHD theme, you might want to make it evident in your thesis statement.

Planned Parenthood helped birth control by its helping in the promotion and giving out of it. Planned Parenthood helped and still helps women today who are pregnant and or want to get pregnant

2. SUMMARY OF PROJECT
Briefly explain your project and its conclusion. Include: How and why did change happen and what was the impact? Why is it historically significant? What historical meaning or importance can we learn from your findings?

We researched a lot about the many different views people have on birth control and many other contraceptives. The reason people changed from negative view ponts to positive is because they saw what it could do and it was also potencially saving lives. This is historically significant because it has changed the way birth control is seen by people. What we can learn from this is that you never knoew what will happen to some thngs that are mad to help people.

3. Required for projects using the National History Day theme only.
Explain how this project integrates the NHD theme Turning Points in History: People, Ideas, Events into its argument.

Our project use the NHD theme Turning Points in History because we talk about birth control which changed the lives of men and women around the world. Birth control is a turning point because it keeps children from being conceived when unwanted.

4. PROCESS
A. What historical question did you start off withand how did it change once you began

doing your research?

The historical question we started with was How did birth control change the world but more specifcally chicago then we noticed that we had to narrow it down and discover how birth control got top Chicagoandhow was in distributed.

B. What kinds of sources did you use as evidence to develop your argument (for example,

letters, photographs, government documents, interviews, etc.)?

We used mostly pictures and local documents to develop our arguments in order to show how birth control and Planned Parenthood changed Chicago.

C. Select one piece of evidence that you used and explain how it influenced your argument.

One piece of evidence that we used to influence our argument is a packetthat our techer gave us that was all about Birth control and Margaret Sanger.

D. List libraries (other than school), museums, and other institutions that you visited to do

your research.
