Publications[edit]
In 2003, the art of artjamming written and designed by Betty Cheung and Wilson Chik is published.
An extensive account of the movement and a brief about the unusual inHong Kong. This book is a
catalogue of interesting facts and a collage of photographs. The book is reviewed by Mani
Rao in Asian Review of Books[1]

Sponsorships[edit]
During the years 20042007, an annual Hong Kong wide mural painting contest called Creativity
Day was run by the company. All schools could participate so the studentscould explore and create
permanent murals on school premises. Meli Melo continue to sponsor
schools, companies, charities and leagues.

On the road[edit]

artJAMaLAMa is a service which caters to ART JAM sessions outside of the studios. They are
temporary locations for schools, fairs, shopping centres and other events.

Acrylic paint[edit]
Acrylic paint is the primary art medium used. The paint is flexible, working with other materials, easy
to clean and resistant to water and heat, thus outlasting all other art media.
Using acrylic can be taught or techniques can be shown or mimicked. However, the creativity used
to apply the medium (i.e. textures and colour blending) and composition areintrinsic to the process.

Designed Equipment[edit]
The artjamming studios are equipped with pragmatic design tools. Pivotal (movable) easels allow for
the full rotation of the canvas while painting and as well as heightadjustments.
The wet paint box is a take-away packaging that houses the work of art for transport immediately
after painting and the canvas dries inside.
