We will recognize families with babies born since last Mother’s
Day as well as families with young children who have not
previously participated, but would like to. If you would like to
be a part of this service, please contact Laurie by Sunday, April
25.
Wednesday Evenings (6:15-7:30) during the summer we will
offer our AWANA leaders a much deserved break. Helpers are
needed to volunteer one week or for the 10 week duration.
Various age groups and positions are available.
Children age 4-6th Grade will be provided with age appropriate
opportunities to grow in their knowledge of and relationship
with Jesus.

BOGG SPRINGS CHILDREN’S CAMP is July 26-30.
Children who have completed 3rd-6th Grade are encouraged to
attend this fun, life changing week. Sign up and information
sheets are available at the AWANA ministry booth. Sign up

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
SUMMER FUN:
Vacation Bible School will be June 14-18 from
6:00-8:00 for 4 year olds (by 8-1-10)-Entering 6th
Grade. This year’s theme will be a compilation of
some of our favorite VBS themes from previous
years. We’ll keep you guessing each night whether
you’ll be ROUNDIN’ UP some BUILDERS,
searching the BAYOU or the HIGH SEAS or
traveling back in time from a zany LAB. Invite
your friends, you won’t want to miss a single
night!!!! A large number of volunteers are needed
for a variety of positions. If you would like to
serve, please contact Laurie or Dana by May 2.
Operation Christmas Child
(www.samaritanspurse.org/occ) will be our mission
project for VBS. Please help us to make this our
most successful year ever!
You can help by:
*Giving an offering to assist in shipping costs ($7
per box)*Donating adult sized shoe boxes (by 5/23)
*Assist with wrapping shoe boxes (by 6/6)
*Donating items to fill our boxes
Suggested Items:
Toys: small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals,
harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes, small Etch A
Sketch, toys that light up or make noise (with extra
batteries), Slinky, etc.
School Supplies: pens, pencils & sharpener,
crayons, markers, stamps & ink pad sets, coloring
books, writing pads or paper, solar calculators,
Hygiene items: toothbrush, toothpaste, bar soap (in
plastic bag), comb, washcloth, etc.
Other: Hard candy, lollipops, mints, gums,
sunglasses, flashlights (with extra batteries), ball
caps, socks, t-shirts, toy jewelry, hair clips,
watches, small picture books, etc,.
DO NOT include the following:
Used or damaged items
War related items: toy guns, knives, military figures

Liquids (including sanitizer) or lotions

The Centennial Committee is planning to publish a
cookbook as a memento of our church’s 100th
anniversary! We will be gathering your all-time
favorite recipes to complete this cookbook. Please
drop by the Ministry Booth to pick up a “recipe sheet”
to write out your recipe. We need your participation
for the success of the cookbook! If you have any

WOMEN ON MISSION BIBLE STUDY
Second Tuesday of Each Month / 10am
What is WOM? Our mission is to inform, inspire
the contemporary Baptist woman to influence her world for Christ. We
are part of the Women’s Missionary Union of the Southern Baptist
Convention. Our group at Central is a Bible study feature of WOM.
Our study material comes from the magazine, Missions Mosaic. Other
feature groups could be organized as Missionary Focus, Prayer, and
Ministry/Witness. We meet once a month, second Tuesday, at 10 AM
in the GO! Training Room. Our watchword is Matthew 22:37-39.
Women of all ages are invited to attend!
