has one high school, one middle
school, and three elementary
schools. There are about 3,000
students total in the district.
In 2005, the district unveiled
its newly-constructed, $21 million
Ellensburg High School. It boasts
a 2,000-seat gymnasium, which
also has 16 basketball hoops and
retractable bleachers, many new
computers, technologically-ad-
vanced science labs, and probably
most importantly, room to accom-
modate more students as Ellens-
burg grows.
Each school provides a well-
rounded education, and offers
students a variety of subjects and
after-school activities. The high
school has several different athletic
