Travelers holding foreign passports are eligible for a refund of the valueadded tax (VAT) on purchases of NT$3,000 and above (including tax) on a
single day at posted VAT-refund stores, so long as they depart Taiwan

application, bearing the stores Unified Invoice Stamp, from the store
where the purchases are made. Prior to leaving Taiwan, the travellers must
take the application together with the tax-refund goods (which must not
have been used) to the VAT refund counter at the airport to obtain the
