The screen is fuzzy and static-filled. Buzzing diminishes as
the screen becomes clearer and a voice audible.

information in how far the blaze
has spread, unconfirmed reports say
it could be as many as 35% of the
fields.
The TV screen is clear now (though the color is off) to show
ERIC CARTER (47) and TAMMY POWELL (36), a typical news duo.
The corner of the screen has a graphic saying INFERNO!
Crisis in the Breadbasket! as well as live footage of a
wheat field aflame.
CARTER
(on TV)
A statement from the White House
said the fire was under control
and will be put out shortly, and
that food rations would not be
affected.
INT. CARTMEL APARTMENT - BEDROOM - DAY
The room is dark, with only the light seeping through the
blinds illuminating anything.
POWELL
(on TV in kitchen,
muffled)
Jack Shankles of the ALA issued a
statement taking credit for the
fire. This is the 4th disturbance
since President McPhersons vow to
capture him two months ago.
Sitting on the bed is GREG CARTMEL (40), a somewhat meek
looking man wearing glasses and a white shirt with tie. He
stares at the ground.
CARTER
(on TV in kitchen,
muffled)
I guess its true what they say, a
good man is hard to find.
Greg stands up and straightens his tie.

Well while thats true Eric I would
hardly say Jack Shankles was a good
man.
Greg opens a clothes drawer and takes out a pistol.
INT. CARTMEL APARTMENT - KITCHEN - DAY
JILL CARTMEL (38), a woman with a thousand things to do,
walks past the screen carrying a large plate of food.
CARTER
Uh, yes, I, um, suppose he is. I
just meant that uh, bad men are
sometimes as hard to find as good
men.
Jill places the tray on the table where three children, MARY
(11), THOMAS (8) and PHILIP (5) sit.
JILL
All right, pancakes for ThomasMom-
PHILIP
JILL
Right, right, pancakes for Philip,
bacon and eggs for Thomas, and
oatmeal for Mary.
KIDS
Thanks mom!
Jill looks to the TV, which shows a dead body in explicit
detail.
JILL
We have to watch this at the dinner
table, Mary?
MARY
Mrs. Wallace wants us to report on
the news.
Jill sighs, then looks at her watch.
JILL
God whats taking Greg so long, he
has to take you to school inA gun shot rings out. The kids start to panic.

Jill runs off. The kids try to stay calm.
JILL
(off screen)
Greg? Greg!
Theres pounding on the door, the sound of it opening, and
Jills blood curdling scream.
EXT. SAN FRANCISCO STREET - DAY
The streets are dirty, filled with junk, human and otherwise.
A beat up car speeds through the streets.
INT. CAR - DAY
The ROGO looks is a Robert Kinoshita-style robot, with rubber
arms that hand in grabs and a spinning, non-humanoid head.
Its torso is fused to the driving seat. Mascot with a round
body and a painted, fixed happy face. Loud 60s beach music
plays.
In the back sits JUSTIN BIEBER (72), an old, tried man with a
kind grandfatherly look, dressed in a nice suit, and trying
to talk on a large cellphone.
BIEBER
Listen Sal I had to cancel I- I
know we need to pay up by the end
of the month but this-I said I know
I need the(to RoGo)
Can you please turn that down?
ROGO
(electronic monotone)
Fuck you.
Bieber sighs.
BIEBER
Look, call around, maybe I can do
some performances while Im here.
Bieber reaches into his jacket pocket and pulls out a packet
and needle and injects it into his neck, wincing.
BIEBER
Im not asking for an arena, Sal,
just a club.

For fucks sake I just want to
comfort my grieving daughter!
The car comes to a halt, Bieber thrusts forward.
DRIVER
Were here, pops.
EXT. APARTMENT BUILDING - DAY
Bieber steps out of the car, walks over to the driver window
and hands the driver a card.
The driver swipes it, then looks at it.
DRIVER
Justin Bieber? The singer?
BIEBER
The one and only.
DRIVER
I have heard your music. It is old
and gay. Like you.
He spits a spat of oil in Biebers face before driving off.
Bieber wipes his face, not particularly upset.
BIEBER
Boy, that takes me back.
INT. APARTMENT BUILDING - HALLWAY - DAY
The hallway is dreary, not having been cleaned in some time,
the lights humming and flickering. An old woman wanders
through, smoking a cigarette through a hole in her neck.
At the end, the elevator door opens with Bieber in it. It
stopped a bit short, so Bieber has to lift his legs to get
out.
After catching breath for a moment, he walks down, stopping
when he crosses the woman.
BIEBER
Pardon me miss, Im looking for
room #714, is thatThe woman continues on, in a world of her own.

INT. APARTMENT BUILDING - OUTSIDE #714 - DAY
Bieber knocks on the door. Opening it is KATSURA KAT
TAKAYAMA (18, female), a young, energetic, inquisitive woman
wearing glasses slightly too large for her.
BIEBER
Oh, sorry, I must have the wrong
roomKAT
Mis-Mr. Bieber? No this is it, come
in.
INT. CARTMEL APARTMENT - LIVING ROOM - DAY
Bieber walks in. The three children run up to him.
Grandpa!
KIDS
BIEBER
Hey you little...
He hugs each tightly.
PHILIP
Grandpa, daddy died.

I know, I know, Im so sorry.
Wheres your mom?
KAT
In the kids room, sleeping.
Kat walks up to Bieber, holding out her hand.

few doors down, I help watch the

INT. CARTMEL APARTMENT - KIDS BEDROOM - DAY
The room is dark, hard to make. Theres a knock on the door
before it opens.
Jill, lying on the bed, looking exhausted, slowly rises up.
Dad...?
JILL
BIEBER
Oh sweetie...
Bieber hugs his daughter. They embrace, just touching for a
few moments.
JILL
Ever since that morning, its been,

I know honey. I got here as soon as
I could, Im so sorry I missed the

JILL
No, I understand, you have to think
of the entire family.

Listen, I know its hard to believe

Bieber walks into the kitchen and sits at the table. He
reaches into his pocket and takes out the needle and packet,
and injects into his neck.
Kat walks in.
KAT
Hey do you want anything to-oh!

Bieber is confused for a moment before realizing.
BIEBER
Dont worry, just joint medicine.
Youd be better off getting high on
mule piss.
KAT
Oh, all right. Um, I was wondering,
how long are you staying here?
BIEBER
Dont know. Not long, probably
tomorrow. Not my choice, but my
creditors arent going to give me a
break because my son-in-law died.
KAT
Oh. Because...okay, I know this is
a terrible time to do this but I
dont know if Ill ever get another
chance...oh, wait here!
Kat rushes out of the room.
KAT
(off screen)
I brought it with me, where do I

Kat rushes back in, carrying a large book.
KAT
I have a scrapbook, I know its
cheesy, but I have articles about
you from way back when you begun.
Bieber smiles as Kat plops it on the table.
BIEBER
Well, how about that. Its been
sometime since a young lady told me
she loved my music.
KAT
Oh. Uh, I actually dont listen to
your music. I meant Im a fan of
your other career.
Biebers smile fades. He opens the scrapbook to the first
page.
INSERT: A newspaper article with the headline GROBAN
INNOCENT! with the sub Singer framed by own agent;

police credit teen sensation Justin Bieber with uncovering
critical evidence. A picture shows the young Bieber posing
and smiling with Josh Groban and a police officer.
Bieber turns a few pages.
INSERT: Another article, BIEBER DOES IT AGAIN with the
subheadline Uncovers meth operation at dude ranch, with a
picture of Bieber dressed as a cowboy.
He flips through a bunch of pages.
INSERT: JUSTIN BUSTS GHOSTS with the sub Phantasms
merely front for child prostitution ring, a picture showing
the police taking away men dressed as ghostly pirates.
Bieber closes the book and pushes it back to Kat.
BIEBER
Thank you, its...always great to
revisit the past.
KAT
Have you solved any mysteries
lately?
BIEBER
Hmm? Oh, no, I was only an amateur,
Im too old for that now.
KAT
Oh. Could you sign the book still?
Bieber nods and pulls the book closer to him as he pulls out
a pen.
EXT. SAN FRANCISCO SKYLINE - NIGHT
San Francisco has not aged well. The color of the city has
faded, like an old car sticker. Nothing looks new or in
condition; in the background, the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges
are both rusted.
There is one exception, the ASHVATTHA, the citys current
tallest building. It does not look like a skyscraper; its
more like a tree, with a the first few floors as a trunk
before splitting off into various directions.
The next tallest is the FOLGERBURG BUILDING, which is topped
by the HELIOS RESTAURANT, which is located in a transparent,
rotating globe contained within a sun model in a model of the
solar system.

INT. HELIOS RESTAURANT - NIGHT
Bieber and Jill sit across a small table.
BIEBER
I liked Greg. I remember that fall,
you guys came up to the Hamptons,
the two of us cleared all those
bushes?
JILL
I remember us all getting poison
ivy.
BIEBER
Yeah, sorry about that. Though it
was only because of that I caught
that-Im sorry, this is not theJILL
Actually Dad, thats what I to talk

BIEBER

Bieber is taken aback for a moment.

weeks.

pay, not to mention I want to help

kid needs a lungJILL
Gregs insurance, they wont give
us anything if its suicide. Well
have to move out, I dont know

Listen, Ill do a little asking
around tomorrow, see if I sense

JILL

Jill motions for him to turn around. Bieber does, and sees
the Ashvattha building.
EXT. ASHVATTHA - DAY
Bieber approaches the Ashvattha, and walks in.
INT. ASHVATTHA - LOBBY - DAY
Bieber walks in, and is immediately intercepted by TERRYTRON,
a hovering robot akin to a television, with two small arms
and a smiley-face on its screen.

Greetings, sir, welcome to the
Ashvattha, the world headquarters
of the Cagn Corporation! How may I
help you?

Bieber tries to pass Terrytron blocks him at every turn.

his own shed, inspired by the

KAT

mentioned you were going to look
into Mr. Cartmels murder. I
thought maybe I could help you.
BIEBER
First off, we dont know theres
been a murder. I dont think there
has been, Im doing this to give my
daughter. Second, I dont need
help.
KAT
Uh, no offense, but you were
sidelined by Artie AI there before
asking a question.
INT. SURVEILLANCE ROOM - DAY
The room is dark and apparently unmanned. The wall is full of
TV screens, all black and white and showing various
locations.
One screen shows Bieber and Kat, and zooms in on Biebers
face.
BIEBER
(on screen)
Listen, Im a solo act. I dont
work with anyone, not since that I
spent that week in that haunted
house with Macklemore.
On the next screen, an ID photo of Bieber pops up, followed
by various news articles and papers about him popping up.
INT. ASHVATTHA - LOBBY - DAY
Bieber continues to talk to Kat.
BIEBER
Besides arent you supposed to be
watching my grandkids?
KAT
I got someone to cover. At their
age they pretty much watch
themselves anyway.

And Im going with you whether you
like it or not. Theres law against
simply following someone.

Look, you probably think being a
detecitive is all car chases and
gun fights but most of it is just
waiting around. Itll be probably

A man walks up.
MAN
Excuse me, Justin Bieber? Mr. Bell
would like to see you.
INT. ASHVATTHA - LAB - DAY
The lab is white and clean, thin and long, with white-coated
techs working on an assembly line of computers and tech.
Talking to one of the techs is NATHAN BELL (43) a thin,
somewhat casually dressed, good-natured looking man whos
still somehow unnerving.
TECH
-it did increase the connection
speed but slows down the units
total response.
BELL
Try diverting the router to the
axillaryThe man, Bieber and Kat following, walks up to Bell.
MAN
Sir, Mr. Bieber.
BELL
Ahh, Ill be back in a bit, Ted, in
the meantime you just keep at it.
Bell walks up to Bieber and holds out his hand.
BELL

Somewhat hesitatingly, Bieber shakes Bell.

I really hope Im not bothering you
but when I saw you were here, well,
being such a huge fan of yours I
had to meet you.
BIEBER

KAT

BELL

KAT

BELL
Well, theres been some minor bugs

Well, uh, the thing is, Im not

Bells cheerful face vanishes.

The office is large and gaudy, with many bright colors. The
walls are filled with art ranging from Renaissance paintings
to comic book pages.
BIEBER
This was Gregs office?
No...
BELL
Bell sits down at his desk.

Its mine.
BELL
Beiber is taken aback.

BELL
All of Gregs personal belongings
were returned to his wife days ago.
Even if not, why would you let you
in there instead of retrieving it
ourselves.

Mr. Cartmels death, and more to
the point, do you think someone at
Cagn was involved?
Bieber pauses before answering.

Bell slams his fist on his table.

He presses a button, and a computer rises out of his desk. He
starts typing.

He turns the screen to show Bieber.
BIEBER
Thats...very generous.
BELL
Like I said, Greg was family. And
family looks out for each other.
Bell claps his hands.

Now that thats over, who wants

DR. MICHAEL STINSON (47), is thin but powerful, with sleek
white hair and piercing large eyes that seem to see
everything in the room at once. He carries a tablet device.
He doesnt stop as he heads for Bell.

Dr. Stinson? Uh, this is Dr.
Michael Stinson, head of Special
Projects. He worked very closely
with Greg(to Dr. Stinston)
Doctor, this is Gregs father-inDR. STINSON

(to Bell)
Bell, look at this. The systems are

Part of the floor rises, revealing a capsule with a large man
in a tuxedo.

EXT. ASHVATTHA - DAY
Lyle shoves Bieber and Kat out.

Justin takes out his large cell phone and dials.
BIEBER
Corner of Geary and Carradine. Yes

KAT
Where we going?

Im going home, Im going to cheer

Pet Tricks.
KAT
What-but-nothing you saw striked
you as suspicious?

suspicious. Besides, you saw me

Youve been solving mysteries

He pauses.

Reds light go on and buzz around the car.
ROGO

Bieber rushes away from the car as fast as he can, grabbing
Kat.

Bieber and Kat fall on the pavement as the car EXPLODES.
After a few seconds Bieber and Kat get up, Kat wincing.

You know where Nortons is?
Yeah?
KAT
BIEBER
Be there at eight. My mind works
better when Im eating za.
You mean-?
KAT
BIEBER
Yeah. We have a mystery to solve.
INT. NORTONS - NIGHT
Nortons is big and loud. Techno music blares out of the
speakers while blue rave lights go on and off.
Both the patrons and staff are almost universally geriatric
(including the men and women dancing in cages.)
Kat and Bieber stand by the entrance, next to a bronze statue
of Emperor Norton, a bra cup hanging off the head.

BIEBER
Place has changed. Used to be red
lights.
INT. NORTONS - BOOTH - NIGHT
Bieber and Kat sit at a table, a waitress taking their order.
KAT
Gin and tonic.
BIEBER
Just a synthewater for me.
She rolls away on rollerskates.
KAT
So...where do we start?
BIEBER
Well, Bell and Stinson are
obviously hiding something.
KAT
Yeah. Almost a little too obvious,
dont you think?
BIEBER
First thing to know about
crimesolving, Kat, nine times out
of ten the killer is the guy with
the monocle or weird scar or some
fucking dog that sniggers under his
breath!
KAT
Its that easy?
BIEBER
Not necessarily. Knowing something
and proving it are two different
things. Ive seen men who
practically still had the blood on
their clothes walk away free. First
angle I want to investigate,
though, is the RoGo, find out who
made go suicide bomber on us.
KAT
I know where their headquarters is.
BIEBER
All right, well do that fist thing

Bieber and Kat walk out. Bieber takes out his phone.
BIEBER
Not looking forward to another RoGo
ride..
KAT
Relax, we can take my dads car.
She motions to the car, a 2027 Ford Basilisk; small, compact,
with fins on the backlights.
INT. TAKAYAMA CAR - DAY
Kat and Bieber cram in. As small as the car looked outside,
the inside seems even more cramped.
KAT
Here, Ill turn on some tunes.
She turns the radio on.
RADIO SINGER
Oh baby I never get the blues, ever
since I fell in love with youBIEBER
Damn kid music these days...
INT. ROGO HEADQUARTERS - LOBBY - DAY
Its not the Ashvatthas lobby, but still all right. Old
RoGos are displayed throughout the room.

Now, just say you won a contest.
KAT

Bieber and Kat walk up to the secretary, a robot.
BIEBER
Hello, were here to see Mr.
Tillingford.
KAT

One moment, please.
The secretary bots head spins for a moment, and then GUY
TILLINGFORD (62) is an old white-haired doughy guy of an
agreeable nature walks in.
TILLINGFORD
Hello, Guy Tillingford.
He shakes their hands.
TILLINGFORD
You must be the girl who won the
contest, right?
BIEBER
Im afraid we used false pretenses
to talk to you. Justin Bieber, sir.
TILLINGFORD
Bieber, huh? Werent you that
singer who went crazy and started
that sex cult?
BIEBER
Youre thinking of Michael Buble.
TILLINGFORD

Everything is blurry; Bieber talks to Tillingford, but his
voice is garbled.
The bot touches a button its console.

Kat and Bieber follow Tillingford into the hallway.

INT. ROGO HEADQUARTERS - HALLWAY - DAY
The trio walk down the hallway.
BIEBER
I understand Nathan Bell is one of
your biggest stockholders.
TILLINGFORD
This is San Francisco, Mr. Bieber.
Bell owns stock in lemonade stands.
BIEBER
Still, I wonder if it grants him
any, shall we say, special
privileges?
TILLINGFORD
Now listen here, I run RoGo
Industries, me no one else. If
youre saying Id let anyone, even
Bell, strong-arm me intoBIEBER
Im saying nothing, Mr.
Tillingford. Just looking into
every possibility.
They reach Tillingfords office.
INT. ROGO HEADQUARTERS - TILLINGFORDS OFFICE - DAY
The office is large thought not incredibly so; one wall is
dominated by a large computer console, with screens showing
the various rooms in the building.
Bieber, Kat and Tillingford enter, Tillingford plopping down
at his desk.
BIEBER
Could it have done it itself, some
kind of breakdown or defect?
TILLINGFORD
We had some trouble with the early
models, but nothing since.
BIEBER
Could someone hack into them,
rewrite their programming?

TILLINGFORD
Well, the only way to do it would
be to insert the command their
positron brains when we take them
out for their monthly checkup.
BIEBER
And who checked out that Rogo last?
TILLINGFORD
Lets see...
Tillingford checks the console.
BIEBER
Jimmy Treehorn would have worked on
him. Hes here now in the work room

Jimmy looks up at Bieber and laughs.
JIMMY

They do their job enough for him to go into a room. Bieber
follows him shortly.
INT. ROGO HEADQUARTERS - ASSEMBLY LINE - DAY
Bieber enters.
The room is filled with the sounds of work and construction.
Theres a line of metal parts on an assembly line, going up
to a LASER that cuts through it.
Bieber walks forward cautiously, when hes struck from behind
and falls to the ground, bleeding.
Clenching his teeth, Bieber looks up to see Jimmy standing
over him, holding his wrench above his head.
Bieber rolls out of the way just in time.
He gets up and grabs Jimmy from behind and get him to drop
the wrench.

JIMMY
Jimmy turns around and grabs Bieber. He manipulates him to

the assembly line, and tries to force him to the laser.

made of kevlar, and a black helmet with a red visor that
hides their eyes.
CAPTAIN KLEGG (44) is at the front of them, a large but not
hulking man, tightly wound with a fanatical gleam in his
eyes.
KLEGG
Police! Drop your weapon!
Jimmy turns and does as hes told, and his chest EXPLODES as
Klegg shoots him.
The shot is so powerful it knocks Bieber down, hitting his
head on a piece of machinery.
His vision slowly darkens and then fades completely.

Bieber opens his eyes.

EXT. MARIN HIGHWAY - DAY
The car drives on a broken and pothole ridden road.
EXT. AVALON - DAY
AVALON must have been a glorious place at one time; now the
mansion is an old wreck falling apart, surrounded by a sea of
brown grass.
Kat and Bieber walk up the path, passing a pool filled with
algae.
A rusted robot stands in one place and tills the field,
oblivious to the fact that the rake has fallen off the
handle.
INT. AVALON - FOYER - DAY
The door opens and Bieber and Kat walk in.
Everythings gone to pot. The once-golden chandelier is now a
rusty red and the wooden staircase has rotted and caved in.
Most startling is the plant life. The mansion is almost a
jungle, covered in vines and various other plants of various
kinds line the walls.
KAT
It doesnt look like anyones lived
here for a long time.

Maybe. But I recognize some of
these plants, they need regular
care to survive. I dont suppose
kids break into houses to water

INT. AVALON - BALLROOM - DAY
Kat and Bieber walk into the spacious ballroom.

The whole place is one big hothouse

walks to the wall.

On the ground are numerous fallen framed photos. Bieber picks
one up.
INSERT: A black and white photo of Meechum, Zorka and Anokye
in happier times, a New Years Eve party at Avalon.
A GROWL is heard.
Something is moving behind the plants, something big.

Stand still. Were being stalked.
KAT

The thing LEAPS OUT and jumps onto the piano, making a
strident note. Its a full grown male African LION, on the
larger side as well. It ROARS.
KAT
Thats-thats a lion!
Snarling, the lion leaps off and starts to slowly approach
Kat and Bieber.
BIEBER
Kat, I know every instinct is
telling you to run. Dont. You run,
youre dead before you leave the
room.
The snarling lion gets closer and closer. Then, a RINGING
fills the room.
The lion instantly turns docile, sitting down and licking its
paw like a housecat.
A TUBE rises out of the floor. It opens up and a half man
strolls into the room.
THOMAS MEECHUM is well over a 150 years old, and his lower
half is subsumed into a golden metal cylinder, which moves
along the floor like a roomba. Aside from that, he is naked.
He has no hair and teeth, and his skin has a greyish tone.
Wires stick in to him at all sides. His eyes have been
replaced with black goggles.
MEECHUM
Justin Bieber, I presume?
BIEBER
Yeah...you know who we are?

MEECHUM
Nothing happens in this house
without my knowledge and approval.
Come, we have much to discuss.
Meechum scrolls away. Bieber follows, but Kat is nervous to
walk around the lion.
MEECHUM
Dont worry, dear. Woody is just a
guard, he wouldnt have hurt you,
so long as you stayed put.
INT. AVALON - HALLWAY - NIGHT
Meechum hovers down the hallway, accompanied by Woody, Kat
and Bieber following. Like the rest of the house, the hallway
is covered in vines and greenery, other animal simulacra
gardening them.
A capuchin monkey simulacra swings through the vines while
clipping them with scissors, and a duck simulacra waters
plants, holding the water pail with its beak.
BIEBER
Are they real?
MEECHUM
That depends on your view, I
suppose. The skin, the fur are
real. We took the hides and draped
them over the mechanical insides.
Bieber pets Woody.
MEECHUM
We made them after the Krankheit,
as replacements. Instead they were

A gorilla simulacra gets up on two feet and opens the door.

Shockingly, the room is messy and covered in plants.

MEECHUM

I do not know the full details of
Stinsons operation, but I know
nothing good can come of it.
Together, we can stop him.

And how will we do that, assuming I

Stinsons plans require a massive
power source. Only object can

Meechum presses a button under his desk, and a hologram
appears over it, showing a small, metallic cube.
MEECHUM
Its called the Draupnir. It
doesnt look like much, but it can
generate more power than a thousand
power plants. Without it Stinsons
efforts are futile.
BIEBER
Where do we find it?
MEECHUM
Stinson would only keep something
so valuable close to him, in the
Ashvattha, somewhere without
security camera.
KAT
How do you know?
Meechum grins and presses a switch.
A wall moves up, revealing various screens, all showing
security footage from the Ashvattha.
MEECHUM
Stinson thinks me an old fool, but
I taught that brat everything he
knows. Accessing his security feed
was childs play; as easy as will
be to shut it down.
Meechum passes them a small box. Bieber cautiously picks it
up.
BIEBER
Thisll do that?

Only for a few moments, but it
should be enough for a man of your
stature.
KAT
And no one will notice?
MEECHUM
It would be unwise to underestimate
Stinson. If he could be distracted
during the operation, however...

Well, I think I can still pull off

MEECHUM
Stinson has a game he likes to
play. He never turns down a
challenge.

MEECHUM

Meechum extends his hand; Bieber takes it and they shake.
INT. ASHVATTHA - HALLWAY - DAY
Bieber and Kat walk casually through the hallway.
When they pass a security camera, Bieber casually takes out a
small box from his pocket.
He opens it and out comes a fly simulacra.
It flies up to a security camera, and slips between the holes
to get inside.
INSERT: Inside the camera, the fly wiggles through the
circuitry, going up to a computer chip.
A needle emerges from its mouth and goes into the chip.
The flys eyes light up with mirror computer code barely
visible beneath its eyes.
INSERT: In the security room, the camera go off-line.
Bieber lifts Kat up and she squeezes into the vent shaft.

Stinstons lab is what youd expect of a tightass like him.
Stinston sits at his desk on his console, working, near a

machine is lowered from the ceiling.

advisors to an individual. One
player has him maim, kill,

of mental strength and stamina, as

DR. STINSON
Seeing as how this is your first

The screen turns on.
INSERT: JOHNNY is a average looking video game protagonist,
wearing street clothes. He stands at the corner of a busy

The corridor is empty and silent, aside from noise from the

She drags herself off, and looks up to see two doors.
She thinks for a moment, then randomly chooses one. It wont
open so she leans against it.

Okay, one, two...
Kat PUSHES the door down-revealing just blue sky. A shocked Kat grabs the sides just
in time to keep from joining the door from falling - to the
ground.
KAT
Wrong door. Really wrong door.
She slowly pulls herself back in.
KAT
Okay, lets try door #2...
She opens the door, cautious this time.
Inside is pitch black.
Kat takes out a flashlight enters the dark corridor.
Bieber and Stinson continue to play.
Stinson is barely paying attention, concentrating on his work
instead.

shooting up a passing school bus, etc.

I understand, it can be quite a

The small CUBE is contained within an anti-gravity case,
which causes it to levitate.
Kat reaches out and grabs it.

Well, that was easy.
She leans back and touches something.

Kat YELPS and stagger back before regaining her grips.
She examines closer. They face belongs to an android, one of
two: theyve been opened and stripped of most of their parts.
The thin white bodies and mannequin-esqe faces lay silent.

They slowly advance on Kat.

One of the androids jerkily swings its arms at Kat. She
ducks, and the android hits the wall, causing one of its arms
to fall off.

Kat kicks the other, causing it to crash into its fellow
android, and they fall apart, their parts spewn across the
floor.

Ha! Have to do better than that you
solar testicEnergy reanimates the parts, which reform into the androids.
They again advance on Kat.

KAT
The androids pause.

You said you thought nothing

a hallucination, brought out by

The androids become inert and fall to the ground like dolls.
Kat pauses to get her breath, then leaves.

for spaces which spell out Tie Game.

I had forgotten that blood. You

worthy foe is a far greater
pleasure than any easy victory.
Stinston presses a button and the device rises back up.

the center, and the machine starts up, analyzing the cube
with scans and non-damaging lasers.

Great. Maybe we can bring you some

MEECHUM

Kat and Bieber walk to the car.

A little roomier than a telephone booth, its white and

After a time, a blue light appears on top of the console, in
the form of an old woman.

The helicopter fires several missiles.
The taxi dodges one after another, leading one left.
The missile seems to be heading for a building labeled
Halliburton-Monsanto, a Koch subsidiary but it ends up
hitting a soup kitchen.
EXT. FISHERMANS WHARF - NIGHT
The Wharf of the future has been converted to a small-scale
amusement park, Dock 13, with rides and such.
The Rogo keeps its opticals out front.
ROGO
Where am I going?

You see the entrance to the park?

EXT. FISHERMANS WHARF - DOCK 13 - NIGHT
The taxi goes up to the entrance of Dock 13, the name of the
park, and goes right through the fence.
The car goes wildly through the crowd, honking as it tries to
avoid hitting anyone.
The RoGo continues to drive like a bat from hell.
BIEBER
Dont hit anyone.
ROGO
Pal Im programmed to preserve
human life, so if youre going to
keep yapping at me, hows bouts
telling me your plan?
BIEBER
See that rollercoaster?
ROGO
Yeah what about...Oh no. You cant.
You cant be serious.
People wait in line for a roller coaster. Next to it is a
sign declaring it the official roller coaster of TVs Red
Warren, with a picture of a grandfather-type.
The taxi leaps onto the roller coaster. It goes along the
tracks, both car and coaster being damaged in the process but
both still holding on.
The helicopter hovers at the top of the coaster, waiting.
Once the taxi is in sight, opening firing at the vehicle
coming straight towards it.
The taxi drives off the roller coaster. For a moment, it
soars into the sky like a bird; then it drops like a rock,
right above the helicopter...
The taxi goes through the helicopter, falling into the bay.
The helicopter follows, exploding on impact.
The monitor sizzles and goes crazy before EXPLODING. Caroline
covers her face and ducks, and escapes unharmed.

The Rogo taxi is slowly sinking to the bottom of the bay.

The streets are actually nice; cleaner than any seen before.
Theres no sounds of machinery, only birds.
The bird chirps get Biebers attention, and he looks around
for the source of the sound.
The chirps get louder, as Bieber walks to a bush. He pushes
it aside, to find only a sound box.
Bieber frowns in disappointment. The chirping is then drowned
out by a humming, and then mocking laughter.
Seven girls (of ages ranging from just under 10 to late 20s),
all riding modified SEGWAYS. They are the VIVIAN GIRLS. Their
clothing is different for each but all combine various
styles.
LUGER LILLY (16) is a thin girl dressed in a purple leotard
and wearing a Viking helmet, with biker spikes on her
shoulder. She carries a long whip.

BORZ BERTHA (14), the second most important of the group, is
short and chunky, wearing medieval-esqe armor over 80s punk
clothing.

jocularity, instead being stern and silent. She wears a
metallic blue armor, and wields a large trident.

wired, up to the rooms only light source (which is more than
enough): the DRAUPNIR.
The Draupnirs shape is vaguely like a (anatomical, not
cartoon) heart, but oddly visually pleasing, a thing of art
as well as science. Its golden in color, and glows a warm,
benevolent light as well as a constant smoothing hum.
KAT
Its...beautiful.
BIEBER
Dr. Anoykes boon to the human
race. Not just a battery...its a
miniature, artificial sun.

Corrigan puts down his binocular and pulls out his walkietalkie. He is in a silverly room, other officers surrounding
him.

Sir, this is Commissioner Corrigan.
We have located the Draupnir.
INT. ASHVATTHA - BELLS OFFICE - DAY
Bell is lying on a table, enjoying a Margarita and a back
message from a beautiful woman.
CORRIGAN
(through transmitter)
I repeat, we have located the
Draupnir.
BELL
Then what the hell are you waiting
for?
He takes a sip.

Bieber is still looking at the Draupnir.
KAT
So, what do we do now?
BIEBER
Well, we have to make sure Stinson
doesnt get his hands on this.
Fortify the location, theA light flashes off Biebers back, and Trudy catches it.
TRIDENT TRUDY
Whats this?
She picks something off Biebers shoulder.
She examines the tiny, tick-like object.
BIEBER
I dont know what thatTRIDENT TRUDY
Its a spy-cam, its been
transmitting all this time.
BIEBER
(under breath)

BORZ BERTHA
Hes a spy for the cops!
The Girls shout in agreement.
BIEBER
Look, just give me a moment to
explain before jumping to

The ceiling EXPLODES.
Ropes drop down and cops - down while firing, as well as
dropping gas bombs.
The bombs go off, smothering the area in white smoke.
A shot rings out, and one of the girls drops to the ground.
Another shot, another girl.
Molly starts to fire her Murker.

MURKER MOLLY
Vivian Girls, were under siege!
The cops, wearing gas masks, emerge from the smoke like
ghosts. They fire as they move forward.
COPS POV
The goggles in the gas mask give an infrared view, allowing
them to see and target the Vivian Girls.
Bieber, barely able to see through all the smoke, stumbles
through the room, soon falling on the ground.
He looks up to see Murker Molly glaring down at him.
You...
MURKER MOLLY
Murker Molly aims her murker at Bieber.

MURKER MOLLY
You tricked us, Justin. But we will
rise again. Unlike you...
No!
KAT
Kat grabs Murker Mollys arm and shifts it up, causing her to
shoot the ceiling.
Molly stares at Kat in shock and disgust.
Traitor!
MURKER MOLLY
She SLAPS Kat across the cheek.

An explosion sends more chunks of the ceiling down, and Molly
is forced to leap to get out of the way.
Bieber kneels on the ground, coughing from the dust.
KAT
Christ things turned south fast.
BIEBER
Theyre right to blame me.
KAT
Well before you throw a pity party
for yourself maybe we should get
out of here.

BIEBER
Not yet. They came for the
Draupnir, Ive got to stop them.
INT. COW PALACE - ANNOUNCMENT BOOTH - DAY
Molly rushes into the room, dusty but still equipped.
She grabs a microphone and starts pushing buttons.
COP
(off screen)
Shows over, girly.
Molly turns to see a grinning cop, his gun aimed at her head.
Molly fires the Murker. A string of blasts of energy come
out. The cop screams as hes disintegrated, not even leaving
his outfit or even ashes.
She then talks into the microphone.
MURKER MOLLY
This is Murker Molly, battle-queen
of the Vivian Girls. Our home has
been compromised, and we are no
longer safe.
Cops have hooked the Draupnir to the heli-vehicle.
Corrigan looks at a speaker as Molly continues to talk.
MURKER MOLLY
(through intercom)
Please get away as fast as you can
and get to one of our designated
safety spots. Pause only to help
others in need. We will survive
this, we will come back strongCorrigan shoots the speaker, cutting it off. Bentley goes up
to him.
BENTLEY
Draupnir is secure, sir.
CORRIGAN
Take it away.
The heli-vehicles engines start up, and it slowly rises,
picking up speed as it goes.
75.
Bieber and Kat arrive, the Draupnir already in the air.
Bieber leaps for the Draupnir and grabs onto it, but one of
the cops on it hits his hands with a baton, causing Bieber to
let go and fall (a short distance) the ground.
Bieber looks up and can only watch helplessly as the Draupnir
is lifted into the sky and taken away.
What now?
KAT
BIEBER
We get out of here alive.
The two duck as Girls and cops continue to exchange fire.
KAT
Oh is that all?
Bieber looks around; one entrance blocked by Vivian Girls;
the other, cops.
BIEBER
Blocked on all fronts.
KAT
Wait, I remember, theres an
opening to the old BART tunnels.
The whole room shakes due to a blast.
BIEBER
Well, lets not wait for Shane
Valdy.
Corrigan oversees as the cops secure the room.
Bentley comes up to him.
BENTLEY
The girls are escaping, sir.
CORRIGAN
Let them. Theyre no longer a
threat. Bieber is a different,
however. If he tells others about
this theres a chance, however
remote, it could impede the
mission.
He sees Klegg, eagerly firing at the Vivian Girls.

You are to stop Bieber from
hampering the operation.
KLEGG

CORRIGAN

Klegg smiles.
Molly ushers the Girls out.

Trident Trudy passes, but Molly stops her.

Kat and Justin face certain death
at the hands of the police. You are
to kill them first.
TRIDENT TRUDY

INT. COW PALACE - LOUNGE - DAY
Kat and Bieber enter, Kat running to a corner.
She removes a crate marked Mel Gibson Sings the Blues.
Under it is a PIT; long but not wide, with various stones and
objects allowing someone to climb down it.

I guess I should have mentioned
its less of an entrance and more
of a hole.
INT. PIT - DAY
Bieber and Kat slowly climb down the pit.
Kat puts her foot down on a rock sticking out; its unstable
and collapses. Kat almost falls before Bieber catches her.
BIEBER
This place is a deathtrap.
KAT
Sorry, Ill try to find a family
fun pit next time.
Gunfire erupts from above.
Kat and Bieber crotch to the sides to keep from getting hit.
KLEGG
(off screen)
Hello, Bieber!
They look up to see Klegg climbing down as well.
BIEBER
Damn it Klegg, you got what you
wanted.
KLEGG
What Corrigan wanted. But hunting
you down is business and pleasure.
Klegg leaps at Bieber.
He lands, smacking Bieber to the wall.
He grabs Bieber and tries to push him off; Bieber uses all to
strength to hold on.
KLEGG
Time to take your final bow, BieA rock hits Kleggs head. It doesnt knock him out, but it
does cause him to loose his balance.
Klegg scream as he falls down the pit.
Bieber almost falls as well but grabs a ledge and lifts
himself up.

BIEBER
Nice aim, kid.
Kat smiles.
The battle is over. The Vivian Girls are gone, save for those
dead or captured.
Bentley goes up to Corrigan.
BENTLEY
Sir, Bieber and the girl have
escaped to the BART tunnels, Klegg
is in pursuit.
CORRIGAN
Throw some grenades in, well kill
them or seal them in.
BENTLEY
But sir, Lt. Klegg is in there.
CORRIGAN
Plenty more where he came from.
INT. BART TUNNELS - ENTRANCE - WATERFALL - NIGHT
Bieber and Kat jump down into the room.
Its an old, abandoned station thats been through some rough
times. The only way down is a waterfall leading into
darkness.
Bieber looks around, and sees Kleggs body lying on the
ground.
Klegg!
BIEBER
Bieber rushes over and checks his pulse.

BIEBER
Hes alive.
Oh. Yippy.
KAT
Bieber looks around.

BIEBER
Where do we go from here?

KAT
Uh...its been a while since Ive
been here. Im sure well find it
in a bit.
Theres a chattering, and several bombs emerge from the pit.
Bombs!
KAT
Bieber throws Klegg into the waterfall.

KAT
Is that safe?
BIEBER
I hope so, cause were following.
Bieber grabs Kats hand and they rush to the stream.
Go limp!
BIEBER
The two fall into the stream. A tremendous explosion erupts

behind them, covering everything.
EXT. AVALON - NIGHT
Above Avalon, thunder and lightning occur.
INT. AVALON - NIGHT
Meechum sits near the fireplace, his Simulacra menagerie
gathered around him.
MEECHUM
Soon, my dears, soon well be free
of this prison, and show the world
what were capable of.
Theres a beeping.
MEECHUM
Ah-ha. Now, to activate...
He rolls over the his console, and hovers his finger over it.
MEECHUM
Now, let there be light!
He presses it. The machine starts up, sending a beam into the
cube.

The cube starts to light up in various colors, like a disco
rubix cube.
Yes, yes!
MEECHUM
Slowly, the display dies down. The machine sputters and

sparks before stopping, smoke coming off of it.
The cube is now a burnt out husk.
MEECHUM
That chuckleheaded croonster, he
brought me a fake!
He grabs the cube and throws it at the wall.
MEECHUM
Well, if Zorka thinks thats the
end of that he has another thing
coming! Ill send him back to the
sludge I rescued him from! Isnt
that right Woody?
He reaches out to pet Woody, but the lion breaks away and
snarls at him, raising his paw.
MEECHUM
Woody? Whats gotten into you?
He moves back, but a bird simulacra screeches at him.
His entire menagerie growls, snaps and hisses at him as hes
backed into a corner.
Meechum frantically presses the buttons, to no avail.
Woody steps forward and opens his mouth.
DR. STINSON
(voice coming from Woody)
Hello Meechum, its been a while.
You...
MEECHUM
DR. STINSON
Yes. Im sorry our reunion has to
be in these circumstances but you
have forced my hand.
MEECHUM
My precious simulacra...youve
corrupted them, you, you rapist!

DR. STINSON
A simple manner once you connected
me to your system after activating
my Trojan Horse.
Meechum stammers for a few moments in shock, then laughs.
MEECHUM
You...you were always a bright boy.
I took pride in you as if you were
my own son. What if...we worked
side by side again?
DR. STINSON
Your words are kind, but untrue.
Your paranoia means I will never be
able to convince you I do not wish
your death, and you will always try
to save yourself by killing me
first. The solution, therefore, is
to make your fears a reality.

Goodbye Meechum. I will never

The line goes dead, and Woody goes back to snarling.
MEECHUM
You must fight him, my children. Do
not letWoody leaps on top of him.
INT. AVALON - HALLWAY - NIGHT
Meechums screams and the sounds of flesh and machinery being
torn are heard as the duck simulacra waters the plants.
INT. BART TUNNELS - NIGHT
The sound of rushing water overwhelms everything. Bieber
opens his eyes; hes lying on the ground, in a - a foot and
growing.
The wall has a huge crack from which water spills forth, a
crack that is gradually increasing in size.
Bieber rises up, but then clutches his right arm in pain.

Clenching his teeth, Bieber wades over to a large pile of
rubble thats still above the water, grabbing it to avoid
being flushed away.
Kat? Kat!
BIEBER
KAT
(off screen)
Here!
Bieber wades over to Kat, whos pinned under some debris. He
removes it and helps her up.
BIEBER
You all right? Can you walk?
KAT
Yeah, I think so.
Theres a rumbling, and the walls and ceiling shake briefly,
a few chunks falling off.
BIEBER
We got to go, this whole thing
could go at any second.
TRIDENT TRUDY
(off screen)
Dont worryBieber and Kat turn to see Trudy crouched on rubble, her
trident pointed at them.
TRIDENT TRUDY
-Ill make sure youre dead by
then.
She leaps at Bieber. He manges to stagger out of the way and
duck behind a column.
BIEBER
Im sorry for what happened, but
Im not on their side.
TRIDENT TRUDY
My lady has decreed I kill you,
your guilt or innocence is
irrelevant.
The trident bursts through the column, barely missing Bieber.
As Trudy retracts her trident, Bieber uses the opportunity to
make a run for it, joined by Kat.

The room rumbles.
The floor collapses underneath Bieber and Kat. They fall
through.
Bieber grabs a wire with one hand and Kat with the other.
INT. BART TUNNELS - 2ND LAYER - NIGHT
Bieber and Kat drop down.
Its similar to above, with one exception.
BIEBER
Notice something different?
KAT
Its...its lighted.
BIEBER
Which means it has electricity. We
get her to shoot her trident into a
fusebox, shell be in for quite a
shock.
KAT
All right, Im going to help you
despite that pun.
Trudy leaps down. She slowly walks through the tunnels,
staying alert on all sides, hunting her prey.
BIEBER
(OS)
Dummythrowstrident?
Trudy turns and extends the trident at the source of the
voice, too late realizing shes aiming at a fuse box.
The electricity shoots through the trident and hits Trudy
like a truck, sending her to the wall.
Bieber and Kat go over to Trudy, lying in a puddle with a
twisted leg.
BIEBER
Here, give my your hand.
TRIDENT TRUDY
No! Leave me here to die with
honor.
Really?
BIEBER

TRIDENT TRUDY
Of course not idiot, help me up.
Bieber and Kat help Trudy up.
BIEBER
Sorry about using the voice throw
trick, but you left me little

Still have to figure out how to get

Theres an entrance to Ocean about
two miles from here.

A ladder in the wall leads to a manhole.

Moaning and bleeding from his mouth, Klegg emerges.
KLEGG
You-you fucking old bastard... I
was going to make it quick but now

Klegg, listenKlegg opens fire. Bieber, Kat and Trudy duck behind a column.
BIEBER
Klegg, any second now this whole
place will be filled with water, if
we dont leave now thisll be our
tomb!

KLEGG

Klegg is firing in all directions, laughing in a state of
ecstacy.
Then they suddenly stop, to Kleggs momentary confusion. He
fires the trigger some more, but no doing.
Bieber steps out of hiding.
BIEBER
You blew your wad, Klegg. Not a new
experience for you, I imagine.
Klegg glares at him.
KAT
Youre making him mad.
BIEBER
Thats exactly how I need him.
Klegg turns his gun upside down and holds it as a club.
The two move out to confront eachother. Klegg swings the gun
at Bieber. Bieber dodges it twice. Third try Klegg gets a
hit, and Bieber goes down like a rag doll.
Klegg grabs Bieber and lifts him up.
KLEGG
Get up you old fool Im not done
with you yet.
Klegg holds his gun against Biebers neck, choking him.
KLEGG
Wish I could have fought you back
when you were worth a damn.
Bieber reaches into his pocket and takes out the hypo-needle.
KLEGG
You belong in a museum.
BIEBER
If youre going to make old jokes..
Bieber breaks free of Kleggs hold and turns around. He
sticks the needle right in the only place where Kleggs skin
is exposed: his face.
BIEBER
-at least show some fucking
originality!

Klegg screams and falls on his back.
Moaning, he takes out the hypo-needle and tosses it away,
before raising slowly.
KLEGG
Ill tear you limb from limb
you...you...uhh...
Klegg is zoning out.
KLEGGS POV
Things are normal at first, but then odd figures appear, at
first merely out-of-place things such as clowns and seals,
building to more surreal and bizarre images, weird
psychedelic creatures walking about.
Klegg sits downs, mumbling incoherently under his breath.
BIEBER
Klegg? Klegg?
Klegg looks up.
KLEGGS POV
Biebers face is a huge mocking spectre, issuing thunder-like
laughter.
Klegg screams and moves away from Bieber in terror.
KAT
All that from just from that thing
of joint medication?
BIEBER
Yeah. Joint medication made from
the mystic tanna leaves of Shangrila. Of course, if you havent
undergone the Rites of the Seven
Deaths, its like acid laced with
PCP.
INSERT: The wall breaks down and the water rushes out.
The sound of the approaching water grows louder.
KAT
Its coming now, we have to go.
BIEBER
Klegg, come on.

Klegg panics and moves away, falling onto the track, losing
consciousness.
Klegg!
BIEBER
INSERT: The waves approach with furious speed.

Kat and Trudy are climbing up.
BIEBER
Go on ahead.
KAT
Are you seriously going to try and
save him?
BIEBER
Wouldnt be able to live with
myself if I didnt.
Bieber jumps down.
INSERT: The waves approach further.
Bieber grabs Klegg and drags him out, not an easy task given
Kleggs muscular frame.
Bieber tries to catch his breath, but he looks to see the
waves are in sight. As fast as he can, he heads for the
ladder.
EXT. STREET - NIGHT
Kat looks at the manhole apprehensively when Bieber emerges,
carrying Klegg with him.
He drops Klegg and collapses to the ground, exhausted.
Kat rushes to Biebers side, while Trudy hovers over Klegg.
TRIDENT TRUDY
Thank you, Bieber...
Trudy sticks out her trident and prepares to stab Klegg.
TRIDENT TRUDY
Now I can pay him back for what he
did to us myself...
Bieber gets between them.
BIEBER
Youll have to go through me first.

TRIDENT TRUDY
Look at you, Bieber. How long do
you think youll last against me?
BIEBER

carrying the DVD player.

INT. TAKAYAMA CAR
The DVD player has been hooked up to the car computer.
The disc starts playing.
INSERT: A title card written in various Eastern European
languages (in B&W, as is the rest).
INSERT: Zorka stands in front of a group of children, in
front of a not unpleasant looking camp, smiling like a proud
parent.
INSERT: Zorka and a nurse check the childrens teeth and
hair.
INSERT: The children are in a computer lab, all on their own
computer, all playing what appears to be an educational game.
INSERT: A kid goes through a EPG machine.
INSERT: A kid with mechanical parts added to his head.
INSERT: A boy no older than 10, the back of his head having
been carved out, the skull lined with a PCB and full of
cables.
Bieber looks in horror.
INSERT: Zorkas execution. Hes strung to a post, a blindfold
covering his eyes. A line of soldiers aim and fire at Zorka,
hitting him in the brain.
INSERT: Zorkas body is set aflame.
The film ends. The film they were watching, this screenplay
continues.

The lab stretches on as far as the eye can see, looping
around in circles several stories. The walls are lined with
consoles and computers, bright lights. It almost has an
organic quality.

Techs hook up the Draupnir, with Stinston overseeing.

I know thats a lot of things youd
like to ask me, but time is of the
essence, so Ill be quick.
Stinsons plan threatens the entire
human race.
Greg pauses to get his bearings.

plans, I went along at first. I

He pauses again.

The Vivian Girls new headquarters is an abandoned family
entertainment center, similar to but legally distinct from
Chuck E. Cheeses.
In front of them are Murker Molly, flanked by an injured but
standing Trident Trudy.
MURKER MOLLY
Well, well, well. So, the traitors,
who tricked us, who lead to the
destruction of our home, have
returned to us. Well, as you can

A large door rolls up in the dark room.

Techs line the walls, working. In the center the All hovers.

The darkness is scared, as well it
should be.

EXT. ASHVATTHA - NIGHT

A guard sits reading a nudie magazine. Hes interrupted by a
loud HONK and looks-to see the Sex Bus acommin, fast.
The guard holds up his hand and blows his whistle repeatedly,
only giving up and getting out of the way at the last minute
as the Sex Bus tears through the gate.
INT. ASHVATTHA - LOBBY - NIGHT
Its empty and quiet, until the Sex Bus bursts through the
glass doors.
It knocks over displays and makes a big mess before
screeching to a halt.
Doors and elevators open, and police march out and line up,
aiming their guns at the Sex Bus.
JOHNSON
Fire on my mark. OneJohnson is shot as the Vivian Girls empty out of the Sex Bus,
riding their segways and firing at will.
Despite the cops efforts, the Girls break through their line
Bieber goes to Johnsons body and searches his pockets,
eventually taking out an ID card.
BIEBER
Here we go.
He takes it to the elevator and slides it through the slot.
The doors open, and the Girls go through them.
INT. ASHVATTHA - SECOND FLOOR - NIGHT
The elevators open and the Girls swarm out.
Cops respond, and the bloodbath continues.
A female cop is shived through the heart.
A cop slams his club at a Vivian Girls head, a loud crack
audible.

Killtrexia bisects a cop.
A cop who looks to be still a teen is mowed down.
Bieber looks in dismay at the carnage.
BIEBER
Got to...got to make sure this all
means something. Have toWIRES come out of the wall and grab Bieber.
Justin!
KAT
Bieber struggles but the wires PULL him into the wall, which
opens up and SWALLOW him.
Kat rushes to the wall, but it has become solid again.
MOLLY
Well find him, Kitkat.
Machine fire shatters this moment, and the ground shakes
under heavy footsteps.
The MECHSUIT is 10 ft. tall; its like a forklift given
humanoid form, with two huge claws on each arm.
In the center is a glass casing, Corrigan inside, piloting
it.
CORRIGAN
Evening, girls. Thought Id show
you Cagns newest contribution to
law enforcement.
It swipes at Kat, who is like a deer in the headlights.
Molly pushes Kat out of the way but is herself struck, the
force sending her into the air.
Molly!
KAT
Molly, having landed, tries to rise before reaching for the

Murker and firing at the MechSuit.
The Murker causes no damage but does have an effect; the
energy blasts pulsate throughout the suit until gathering at
the claw, which unleashes a ray back at Kat and Molly.
Molly is ready for more but Kat grabs her.

KAT
Molly, we have to go!
Molly glares at Corrigan for a moment, but then turns and
runs away with Kat.
INT. ASHVATTHA - STINSTONS LAB - NIGHT
Bieber is restrained by the wires to the wall. Stinson
continues working at his console.
BIEBER
You didnt strike me as the type to
gloat over a foe instead of just
killing them.
DR. STINSON
Im giving you one last chance to
see reason.
BIEBER
Oh thats rich coming from you. You
know, Ive been fighting against
people like you all my life.
Oh?
DR. STINSON
BIEBER
People who think because theyre a
little smarter than others they
think they can decide who lives and
who dies, that theyre a god. Well

Its a large room with various items about.
Kat and Molly rush in and pause to catch their breath.
Only a couple of seconds later, however, Corrigan SMASHES
through the wall.

first ones to try leaving society,
to create a new world.
He fires the ray at them.
CORRIGAN

Molly rolls out of the way before crushed by the MechSuits
foot.
CORRIGAN
Youd have become as corrupted as

Kat and Molly take cover behind a row of boxes.
MURKER MOLLY
Mom was right; I finally found a
problem I cant solve by murking.
KAT
Not with your Murker, but maybe...

MURKER MOLLY

Its protected against energy
beams, but I wonder howll it stand
up against a physical attack. Well
still need something sharp, though.
Molly thinks, and reaches into her pocket.
She pulls out a sharp-edged diamond, inscribed From Kitkat.
Kat smiles.
Corrigan scans for the girls.
KAT
Hey, over here!
Corrigan strikes, but Kat gets out of the way and the claw
becomes stuck in the wall, despite Corrigans attempts to
remove it.
Murker Molly leaps at Corrigan with a makeshift spear, by
tying the diamond to the bottom of a mope.

INSERT: The spear breaks through the glass and IMPALES
Corrigan.
The mechsuit jerks away, tearing the stuck arm is torn off.
INSERT: The cockpit of the suit is in flames.
Staggering back, the suit collapses on the walls, breaking
them.
INSERT: Outside, the Mechsuit falls until no longer visible.
Molly and Kat look down.
KAT
Now, lets find Justin.
MURKER MOLLY
Sure. Just one thing to do first.
Whats th-
KAT
Molly kisses Kat passionately, Kat reciprocating after the

initial shock.
INT. ASHVATTHA - STINSTONS LAB - NIGHT
Dr. Stinson checks the machine.
DR. STINSON
Less than an hour now, Bieber,
before everything changes. Once
youre part of it, youll
understand, seeTheres a sizzling sound.
What...?
DR. STINSON
A blowtorch is creating an opening in a metal door.

BIEBER
Seems our insects have gotten into
the picnic basket.
The door pops open and the Vivian Girls come in guns a
blazing.
Stinson takes cover while the police try to fight back.
Kat rushes to Bieber and releases him, cutting the wires with
a knife when they try to fight back.

Dr. Stinson is typing furiously on the console when Luger
Lilly leaps on top of it, smiling like a cat thats cornered
a mouse.
LUGER LILLY
Hello. Youre the one causing all
this trouble, I understand.
DR. STINSON
Get away from me youLily ensnares Stinson with her whip.
LUGER LILLY
Game over, mate.
Electricity surges into Stinsons body. He groans, and starts
to give off smoke, but remains standing.
The skin peels off half of Stinsons face, revealing a
cybernetic caricature of a human face.
Luger Lily looks in horror.
LUGER LILLY
What are you?
DR. STINSON
(now with electronic tint
to voice)
I - am - eternal!
The electricity REVERSES, and goes back up Lilys whip,
shocking her -.
Lily!
BORZ BERTHA
Bertha rushes over to Lily.

The cable tendrils reach down from the ceiling and grab
Stinson and the Draupnir, lifting them up.
DR. STINSON
See you all in eternity.
Bieber runs for the stairs.
Bell appears and blocks his way.

Going somewhere, Bieb-

Bieber throws Bell onto the steps. He rises, and Bieber
prepares to attack again whenBELL
Hold on; what if youve already
lost? What weve been in there all
this time, looping back and forth,
always trying to stop it but never
succeeding, a Singularity Sisyphus?
Beiber pauses to consider this.
Bell knocks him down and walks up the stairway.

BELL
Bell takes out a remote and presses it. Theres a small

explosion in the stairway, covering it with debris.
Bell rushes up the stairs, but stops as a crunching noise is
heard.
Bell looks to down to see that Trudys trident has gone
through his chest.

His body falls to the ground.

Trudy retracts her trident, from a small opening in the
rubble.
TRIDENT TRUDY

Not in the time we have.
Bieber throws a chair through the window, shattering it.
KAT

I have to get up there somehow.
Bieber climbs out, braving the winds.
INT. ASHVATTHA - BELLS OFFICE - NIGHT
Stinston is going over checking the equipment, ignoring the
cries on the speakers.

(on speaker)
This is acting Commissioner
Bentley! Sir, its like Little Big
Horn down here, were getting
slaughtered!
DR. STINSON
Mr. Bentley, I appreciate you and
your mens service, but Im making
some delicate final calibrations
and I cant be disturbed.

BENTLEY
Stinson switches it off.

Stinson then looks at a screen.
Wha...
DR. STINSON
The screen shows Bieber carefully moving along the edges of

the top of the Ashvattha, gradually getting on the roof.
No...no!
DR. STINSON
He rushes to an elevator.
EXT. ASHVATTHA - ROOF - NIGHT
Its windy out. Bieber braves the winds to get to the
console.
Once he reaches it, he begins typing.
A beep.
INSERT: Screen shows UNAUTHORIZED ACTION.
Come on...
BIEBER
Bieber starts again, when a shadow appears.

Stinson utters a primal SCREAM as he appears seemingly out of
nowhere, moving like an animal, waving a metal rod like a
caveman would a spear.
He strikes Bieber with the passion of a mother defending her
cubs.

DR. STINSON
To think I thought you a fellow man
of intelligence. Youre no better
than the fools who had Socrates
killed, Galileo suppressed

He punches Stinson in the face.
Stinson staggers back, but recovers and swings.
DR. STINSON
You cant stop progress, Bieber.
Bieber swings back and punches Stinson.

Bieber charges, Stinson hits him. And then again. And again.
Bieber moans; Stinson is about to finish him off, when
theres a beeping.
COMPUTER VOICE
Core stabilized. Expansion ready.
DR. STINSON

part of the new world after all.
Stinson goes to the console, and types.
BIEBER
Stinson, Zorka, whoever, if you
have an ounce of humanity, you
musntDR. STINSON
Humanity? This is the culmination
of humanity, of life itself! This
is why we crawled out of the soup
those billennia ago!
Stinson slips the switch.
The Draupnir hums, slowly first but gradually speeds up to a
pitch squeal. This matches the brightness of the like, which
ends up so great Stinson and Bieber must shield their eyes.

Then, it darkens. The lights start to move apart rather than
closer.
The All falls apart.
DR. STINSON
No...somethings wrong!
Stinson runs up to the console and begins working it, but the
machine generates an electric blast that sends him away.
DR. STINSON
What did you do you fool!?
BIEBER
Oh, nothing really. I realized
there was no way in hell to shut it
down, but I was able to release the
protocols keeping their minds from
thinking for themselves.
DR. STINSON
You Neanderthal, youd need my
password to do that!
BIEBER
I know; which is why I made sure
the first thing you touched was..
INSERT: Flashback to Stinson attacking Bieber at the console,
clearly showing Bieber grabbing Stinsons hand and putting on
the touchscreen.
Stinsons mouth hangs agape for a moment.
DR. STINSON
You- you tricked me!

You tricked yourself.
DR. STINSON
You Luddite, IllSome the energy strikes Stinson, sending him to the edge of
the building.
The energy surges into the sky, giving it a golden glow.
Golden lightning and thunder breaks out.
Bieber watches transfixed as the golden energy forms into a
hologram of Dr. Anoykes face.
