SCHEDULE OF PROJECT WORK

I got an opportunity to learn and work at Quizcraft Global Knowledge Solutions as an intern for
the Summer Internship Programme. It started on 1st June, 2015 to 18th July, 2015. I was guided
by Mr. Kamran Akram Ansari, the production manager of Quizcraft company. He welcomed me
and asked for my brief introduction.

WEEK 1, JUNE 1
In my first week, I was assigned a topic for the project after inquiring about my interest area and
after my brief introduction also about my course. I was asked about about how much I know
about the system and works. I was given a brief about events and management. These days with
company are unforgettable for me. The experience, which I got during these days, was
tremendous. I have made good relationship with so many people in frontline division where I
did my project & other division. Everybody over there I found nice & helping. The main thing I
got from my project was to interact with various people. I also attended the customer
demonstration which gave me the knowledge about how customer can be convinced, how there
queries are handled.

WEEK 2, JUNE 8
In my second week when I was thorough about the event management stature and its working
and how efficiently it is managed. I was given the past data of the company, I could study and
analyze a few of them. The guidance from my company guide was commendable. Then I was
given the work where I was told that I will be getting a rough report from the office on the
survey from people. I was mentioned about this assignment to work upon on the third week and
make a report on its working under the team. I also learnt very small-small things in the
organization which is necessary in any flat organization.

WEEK 3, JUNE 15
In the third week I was given the data collected by the office and their survey on the project.
After collecting all these reports going through them seeing the samples about the survey data I
was told by my mentor to submit the report collected in this survey by next week with my
comments and findings on the study of the survey done and discuss with them about the survey
after analyzing upon the data and interpreting it. I also learn about how to trackle any
obstruction if any and how to handle situations and work accordingly budget and how to attract
customers and promote product.

WEEK 4, JUNE 22
In the fourth week I got the opportunity practically, I have gained several experiences in the field
of branding and event management. I have got the opportunity to meet various people, which
fluctuate in different situation and time. I understood the working culture, making plan for next
day, invite, mailing and putting together the backend cell for tele-calling and monitoring. Ensure
the audience were comfortably seated at the conference, refreshments for the audience. Ensures
that all audiovisual gear was checked and all the backups were in place. Proper signages
indicating area was distinguished from the general seating so that guests were not
inconvenienced. Really, the experience I have got from my project will be very helpful to enrich
and nourish my career. If we try to summarize the whole experience then it was the best
opportunity I took to observe and study the market from such a closer edge. I am very sure this
will surely help me in some point of my life.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The situation and euphoric that accompany the successful completion of task would be
incomplete without the mention of the people who made it possible. So with immense gratitude I
acknowledge all those whose guidance and encouragement crowned my efforts with success.
I am thankful to Prof. Chabi Gupta (Head of the Department), Galgotias University, Greater
Noida for their valuable suggestions and help extended to me throughout the course.
I express my sincere gratitude to Mr. Kamran Akram Ansari, Production Manager of Quiz craft
global knowledge solutions (p) ltd for extending his valuable time and giving me all the required
information for the successful completion of this project work.
Last but not least I would like to thank my parents and friends without whose co-operation this

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Event management, the very topic looks challenging. A concept which gained importance in
India only after the late 90s. Commitment, leadership and mental & physical devotion are the
core factors needed to manage any type of event. Irrespective of the type or the scale of the

event, the mental and physical hard work that is to be put in, differs by only a negligible degree
of difference.

This terminology is comparatively very new to India, though Indians have been arranging for
wedding ceremonies, naming & threading ceremonies even much before independence. But due
to the lack of proper forecasting, proper material handling they used to end up in problems like
wastage of the food due to less people coming in or fire in the pandal or food poisoning .These
problems many a times used to put the families into financial trouble after the wedding.

It is very easy for the audiences to make the event a hit or a flop. It takes just the 5 minutes for
the audiences to judge the event resulting in the efforts of nearly 3-4 months and the hard work
70-80 people either turning productive or waste. Thus the efforts they have put in always remains
at stake till the date of the event.

There are innumerable activities that have to be carried out. First of all forming committees, then
allotting different jobs to each committee is the very first step. Here all the theoretical concepts
learnt up till now in subjects like public relations, human resource planning, logistics, human
skills, controlling, accounts, organizing, and others come into actual use.
As an event manager one must have a lot of flexibility in terms of working pattern. Be free to do
all sorts of jobs irrespective of your position.
