INTRODUCTION
This document presents a detailed description of the Condensate From Charge Air System for the
215 MW Bauang Diesel Power Plant. It includes the function, criteria requirements, detail of
system components, instrumentation and control, operation modes, safety precautions and
maintenance requirement. The system is shown in Appendix 7.1.
1.1
System Function
The Condensate From Charge Air System (circuit 13) enables condensate from the Charge Air
Cooler of each engine unit to be recovered and directed in the Water Treatment and Make-Up Water
System (circuit 17) or in the water inlet line (0-17-001-50) of each sector.
1.2
Criteria Requirements
The system equipment, components and controls are designed in accordance with International
European Standard (IEC).
Pumps operating pressure is designed to 3 bar at a rate of 1m3/h.

MODE OF OPERATION
3.1
Start-up
A high water level alarm from 0-13V1 tank will indicate in the OIS console and the 0-13P1 Pumps
can be started from the console.
3.2
Shutdown
As the pump is started, it automatically stops when low level is reached in the 0-13V1 tank.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
4.1
No special hazards are considered to exist in this system except those associated with working near
the rotating equipment particularly the pumps which are remotely started when high tank water level
is detected.
5.0
MAINTENANCE
5.1
Preventive Maintenance
Refer to the Manufacturer's instruction manual for proper maintenance of all equipment.
Maintenance and test of all components should be on periodical basis.
All instrumentation, control and alarm components shall be tested and calibrated at regular intervals.
Clean the accumulated dirt and oil on pump's and tank's external.
