FROM THE VICARS DESK

Dearly beloved in Christ,

This month we are celebrating the Feast of Ascension and the Feast of
Pentecost. Mark16:19 says, Jesus was taken up into heaven and sat down at
the right hand of God. Jesus who is seated at the right hand of the Father is a
priest forever in order of Melchizedek (Psalms110:4). The present oce of
Jesus is that of the High Priest, who pleads for us and represents us, Himself
to govern our destiny. He is a great advocate and an Almighty friend to those
who accept Him as their Lord and Saviour.

The day of Pentecost is the day on which the Holy Spirit descended on the
disciples of Jesus and they turned the world upside down. The great message
of resurrection our Lord is risen, He is risen indeed thrilled the apostle Peter
on the day of Pentecost. He did a spirit filled message that challenges many
people including the Jewish religious leaders (Acts 2;14-41). We have to act in
our lives as people filled with the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. St.
Paul in his letter to Romans wrote, consider yourselves dead to sin and alive
to God in Jesus Christ (6:11). We are to lead lives with the realisation of the
truth that the Holy Spirit dwells within us empowers us.

Our Parish is celebrating its 10th birthday on 22nd May. As the community of
believers, we are thankful to God for the manifold blessings we have received
from God in the days passed. We are living in an age of stress and strain and
we confront varied challenges of life and its struggles. Some of them raise
questions against our faith and hope. The word of Isaiah to Israel then and to
the church today is to come forth and be light. That is our primary calling as
a family as we enter this new year in our faith journey. We are called to arise
and shine! We are called to come forth and be light! When we do that we are
truly being the church Jesus intends for us to be.

We are coming closer to the end of the financial year. The Parish members
who are yet to pay the subscription and other contributions are requested to
pay them before June 30th. Let the God Almighty
empower and sustain us to live for the glory of His name
and the furtherance of His kingdom. May God bless you
all.

PRAYER POINTS
Pray for Gods guidance, wisdom and finances for purchasing a suitable place of
worship;

Convention;
Pray for the families who are affected by the recent job redundancies and Lord
bless their efforts in seeking employment;
Pray for Almightys abundant blessing in the new year;
Pray for all our children preparing for returning to school and university. Pray that
His abundant mercy and wisdom be bestowed on our children;
Pray that the new year will be a blessing for the Parish and for its members; and
Pray for the young families in our Parish and the recently married couples.

YOUTH FELLOWSHIP
Youth Fellowship meets fourth Saturdays of every month at 04:00pm at the
residence of a parish member.

Encourage all youngsters of our parish to participate in the activities of the

SUNDAY SCHOOL
Regular Sunday School on all Sundays before the Holy Communion

EDAVAKA MISSION
Edavaka Mission meets at the residence of a parish member every month.

An intercessory prayer is held on first Friday of every month at the

PARISH CHOIR
Parish Choir meets for practice every Sunday after the Holy Communion
Service at Murdoch Worship Centre. For further details please contact Mr

SENIOR CITIZENS FELLOWSHIP

Senior Citizens Fellowship meets fourth Saturdays of every month at
12:00pm at the residence of a parish member. For further details, please

SEVIKA SANGHAM
Sevika Sangham meets once every month after the Sunday service.

Encourage all women in our parish to participate in the activities of the
