All India Entrance Examination for Admission to VI and IX Standards of Sainik
School, Amaravathinagar for the academic year 2016 - 2017 will be held on
03 Jan 2016 (Sunday).
Only boys aged between 10 and 11 years as on 01 July 2016 (Date of birth
between 02.07.2005 to 01.07.2006) for VI standard and boys aged between 13 and
14 years as on 01 Jul 2016 (date of birth between 02.07.2002 to 01.07.2003) and
studying in VIII Std in a recognised school are eligible for admission to IX standard.
Medium for IX Std Entrance Examination will be only in English. For VI boys can
write English, Tamil, Hindi and other regional languages.
Based on the parental income the Govt of Tamil Nadu/ Ministry of Defence
sanctions a Scholarship upto Rs.50,000/- per annum per student as per laid down
terms and conditions.

Application Forms will be sold by the school from 12 Oct 2015 to 21 Nov 2015.
For prospectus and application forms, remit `
650/- for General/Defence categories
and 500/- for SC/ST categories (inclusive of Registration Fee, cost of Old Question
Paper, Documentary DVD and Postal charges) through Demand Draft drawn on
State Bank of India, Amaravathinagar (Branch Code 2191) in favour of Principal,
Sainik School, Amaravathinagar along with covering letter mentioning postal
address, clear indication of the standard to which admission is sought (VI / IX) and
the category (SC/ST/Defence/ General). Medium of examination should also be
indicated for VI std in the application.
