PAGE ONE ( FOUR PANELS )

PANEL 1: Moon above a, millet field, stars in the sky, a young man holding a rifle. He's wearing a
military uniform, circa 1952, he's dirty, cold, and looks scared.

CAPTION: KOREA 1952

CAPTION/KWON:
My name is, Kwon Ji Hyuk, I am only seventeen, my country tells me to fight, I wish to be home. Not
cold, and shivering. I don't want to fight, I don't want to fight, I just want to be free.

PANEL 2: Four American soldiers, shouting, guns shooting, Kwon ducks, afraid to fight.

KOREAN SOLDIER #1 (Distressed by Kwon's 'cowardice')

Hyuk! Get up you coward! Shoot them!

KWON
No! I do not wish to fight!

KWON (burst)
I do not wish to fight!

KOREAN SOLDIER #2 (Angered by Kwon's 'cowardice')

Leave him! He will die! Keep firing!

PANEL 3: On the moon, a palace akin to the Gyeongbok Palace, rests.

CAPTION: JOSEON PALACE

PANEL 1: In this palace, a woman, dressed in a Wonsam a type of hanbok for the women of royalty
during the Joseon Dynasty, the woman is praying.

PAGE TWO ( SIX PANELS )

PANEL 2 Kwon, holds up his hands (no rifle) and runs toward the Americans. Focus on Kwon, he's
scared.

CAPTION: KOREA

AMERICAN SOLDIER #1
Stop! Stop right there!

KWON
I surrender! I surrender!

AMERICAN SOLDIER #2
Hey! You fucking Gook! STOP!
CAPTION/KWON:

I did not want to fight. I wanted to be home. I just wanted to be home. I was scared. They were too.

PANEL 3: Kwon's still got his hands in the air, shouting in Korean. Focus on the Four Americans, they
are distressed, and scared.

AMERICAN SOLDIER #3
What are you two doing?! SHOOT HIM!

AMERICAN SOLDIER #4
I think he's trying to surrender, sir

AMERICAN SOLDIER #3
We're not taking any prisoners, not today.

PANEL 4: American Solider #3 holds up his rifle, the other three are visibly shaken right now. Smoke
comes from the Soldier's rifle.

PANEL 5: Three soldiers are walking away, American Soldier #2 we see, is kneeling down to a dead
Kwon, clutching Kwon's uniform.

CAPTION/KWON:
I was dead. My blood on the millet field, and I was free. So I thought.

AMERICAN SOLDIER #2
Christ, you're just a kid. A fucking kid. Fucking hate this war. Here, you deserve this more than I do.

PANEL 6: American Soldier #2 places a medal of St. Francis of Assisi on Kwon.

PAGE THREE ( FIVE PANELS )

PANEL 1: Joseon Palace, Dalsun is in lavish palour, a white light appears before her, it is very bright, a
'transporter' like silhouette of a man is seen.

PANEL 2: Kwon has materialized before us. Blood stained uniform, and dirty face, he is confused.

CAPTION/KWON: I at first thought I had gone to heaven. For everything was beautiful, and I felt no
pain only peace.

DALSUN (pleased)
It is good to see you, Haesik.

KWON (confused- still)

Haesik? You are mistaken, I am Kwon Ji Hyuk of Kaesong

DALSUN (knowingly)
Yes. That is the mortal name you took. Come with me, I will tell you everything.
PANEL 3: Kwon is hesitant, Dalsun has extended her hand to him.

CAPTION/KWON: Haesik is a God. I am not. However, I did not want to displease her.

PANEL 4: Kwon takes her hand.

DALSUN (reassuring)
Do not worry, I will be here for you.

PANEL 5: Smiling, Kwon and Dalsun walk from the parlor to a beautiful garden.

PAGE FOUR ( FIVE PANELS )

CAPTION: Fifty-seven years later, Seoul.

PANEL 1: Kwon is walking along on a busy street, he's wearing an olive green army jacket, white
shirt, black converse tennis shoes, and denim blue jeans. The medal of St. Francis is around his neck on
a silver chain, along with a pair of dog tags.

CAPTION/KWON: I am a God among my people, I should rejoice. I do not feel this, I only feel
sadness. My people are in despair, they are not united as they should be.

PANEL 2: Across from Kwon, a hostage situation. News copters are above him, first responders are
rushing past him in blurs. (3 Hostages, they're outside a post office)

CAPTION/KWON: Why do my people distress me. It makes me sad, but I must intervene, and show
them that I have returned.

PANEL 3: Kwon steps into a darken alley, he holds in his hand, a small coin (Joseon era currency)

PANEL 4: The coin illuminates the alley, we only see a penciled outline of his silhouette

PANEL 5: He's armored fully, in white, with black markings akin to the South Korean flag on his
shoulders, the blue-red yin-yang symbol on his chest.

CAPTION/KWON: If I came in my own appearance they would but reject me. In this modern day
armor, they will only question me.

PAGE FIVE ( SIX PANELS )

PANEL 1: Kwon stands before the terrorists (four of them). He's floating in the air, (one of his powers
is flight). The terrorists are confused by his appearance.

TERRORIST #1
Hey look guys, its some stupid Iron Man.

TERRORIST #2
Ha-ha, this will be easy.
PANEL 2: The 2nd Terrorists takes out an RPG.

TERRORIST #2
As they say in America, Hasta la vista!

PANEL 3: The RPG is launched, Kwon caught it.

KWON/HAESIK
Do you think that this will stop me?

PANEL 4: Kwon/Haesik crushes the RPG in his hands.

KWON/HAESIK
I am Haesik, God of the Sun and the Moon. You have displeased me.

PANEL 5: Terrorist #1 grabs a hostage.

CAPTION/KWON:
Mhmm. He's testing me. They will all test me. I know this.

KWON/HAESIK
That was a bad choice.

PANEL 6: Kwon/Haesik moves his hand in a clockwise motion.

TERRORIST #3
The hell! I'm blind! I'm blind!

TERRORIST #4
What's going on! I-I can't see!

PAGE SIX

PANEL 1: The police and other first responders are just watching Haesik, the four terrorists have their
hands over their eyes. The hostages are in shock and are not able to move.

CAPTION/KWON:
It'll be temporary. Long enough for the hostages to be rescued.

KWON/HAESIK (to the police)

Well, are you going to just stand there?

OFFICER #1
Uh, no. No- MEN!Get the hostages!

PANEL 2: On a roof top far from the stand off, a man in a long black robe, with black karate pants, thin
but muscular, he has a tattoo of a tiger on his forearm. He has a look of disgust, his sandals are made of
wood.
PANEL 3: Kwon/Haesik looks over his shoulder in the direction of the man on the rooftop.

CAPTION/KWON:
He is here. Shin Hae. Man-Tiger. I can feel his power.
