ASSESSMENTS

Task 1:

1. Section 2 – Declaration Policy of RA 9163 states that “It is hereby affirmed the prime
duty of the government to serve and protect its citizens. In turn, it shall be the
responsibility of all citizens to defend the security of the State and in fulfillment
thereof, the government may require each citizen to render personal, military, or civil
service.” How can you contribute to the State as a student of NSTP?
▪ By being a responsible student of NSTP, I may contribute to the state. I can
support by pursuing higher education, learn more about different institutions,
demonstrating concern for my fellow Filipino citizens, partaking in community
events, and utilizing my ability to stand publicly about political concerns that I
have recognized and thoroughly researched. I may demonstrate devotion to
the nation in which I reside by raising concerns. As a student, I can also help
the state by promoting and purchasing locally created items, or at the very
least recognizing them. This will not only improve the lives of local residents,
but it will also help our country's economy.

2. In your own words, how do you define National Service Training Program?
▪ For me National Service Training Program means a program aiming at
instilling civic awareness and defense readiness in students even when they
are still young. It will help us to develop our physical, moral, spiritual,
intellectual and social well-being.

3. Have you participated in voluntary, civic consciousness activity, or community

immersion programs before? Tell us about your experience.
▪ Yes, I actually joined in voluntary, civic consciousness activity, or community
immersion programs before when I was in secondary level. It’s called
International Coastal Cleanup in SM by the bay in Pasay. That time we had an
activity which would you pick up or wrap up those trash in the sea. I voluntary
joined that activity even though there’s a bit danger of having a disease that
we can get on those trash. I was given a certificate on that day called Ocean
Conservancy Recognizes me for being active to the 2019 International Coastal
Cleanup and commitment for achieving trash free seas. I am so happy that
time because in that activity I helped clean the environment voluntary and
wholeheartedly.
