MODULE 1
ACTIVITY 1.2 SHORT ESSAY

1.) After the discussion of the concepts of National Service Training Program as outlined above, how will you,
having a vital role in nation-building, respond to the nation’s call for civic service?
After the discussion of the concepts of National Service Training Program as a youth and citizen that have a
big role in a nation building. I respond to the nation’s call for civic service through participating, cooperating
and also by volunteering in any program that could help people such as; health insurance marketplace,
Medicaid, supplemental security income program, no-cost internet through the affordable connectivity
program and etc. that help people. Also by helping the environment as well such us community services,
costal clean up, blood drive, recycling program, give new coast to kids in need, community garden, and any
program that needed my services.

2.) Have you experienced participating in any community service? If yes, what is it? What did you feel after
participating? In the said activities?
Yes I experienced in participating in any community services. First when I am fifteen or sixteen years old I
remember that I woke up early in that time to attend and to be prepared in the activity of our
church( Iglesia ni Cristo) that called costal-clean up in Sitio Tagumpay, Barangay New Canipo, San Vicente,
Palawan. Also I remember that in last year when the typhoon Odette is happened I volunteer in our
Sitio( Sitio Pagdanan, Barangay Port Barton, San Vicente, Palawan) to be an assistant in distributing a
medicine and food to the residence of Sitio Pagdanan. After that experienced I felt being more productive
and responsible citizen.

3.) Why do you think NSTP is part of your curriculum?

NSTP promotes the role of the youth in building nation. It encourage the youth to become civic, participate
and volunteer in any community services who called upon by the nation when our services are needed. NSTP
is important to the students to prepare their selves to become responsible and productive youth of our
country. Students also train to become wee-disciplined and efficient youth. NSTP program is to recognize
the youths vital role in nation building or designed to develop the youth’s physical, moral, spiritual,
intellectual, and social well-being and promote defense preparedness, and ethics of service while
undergoing training in any of its three program components.

ACTIVITY 1.2.2 BRIEFLY SHARE YOUR EXPECTATION ON THE FOLLOWING:

A. NSTP-CWTS

I expect with this is we will discussing the role as a youth in building nation. It will give us real-life situation
and hands-on training that we will use in the future. I expect that this course will enhance our personality in
helping society.

B. PEERS

I expected them as a friend and approachable too like what I am because I believed that birds have same
feathers flocks together. I wanted a friend that always be there in my sadness and happiness, the one that
understand me and help me when I needed them.

C. CWTS TRAINERS

I expect that they will demonstrate competence and high-quality teaching. They will teach us with all their
knowledge and best to make us understand the lesson. Also I expect that they have a big heart and
consideration with students because of what we are facing right now.
