Introduction
This Service project is mainly based
on the activity prescribed for
Rashtrapathi award and is born out of
the realization that a clean and a
green environment is needed for the
sustainment of mankind.
As a result of this idea, I had
worked for 38 hours (within a period
of 2 months) in making a garden
inside the premises of Nagar van
Park. I had started this project on
01/10/2014 and completed it on
31/12/2014.

REPORT
As per the decision of C.O.H
conducted on 27/9/2014, we
(Our Patrol) decided to do a
service project with each person
doing at least 36 hours of work.
We decided to get the
permission from our school
authority, parents, D.C and the
Nagar van authority. As per the
final decision from C.O.H, we
planned to start the work on 1th
October 2014.

As planned earlier I started my

work on 29th October. Within the first 2
days I collected all the required
permission letters. On 2th I did the site
inspection and collected the seeds.
The site was marked and cleaned in
the following days.
On 6th and 7th November
the site was ploughed. The final
preparations before sowing were done
on 15th and 16th of the month. In the
next week the plot was divided for
different plants. This was followed by
the making of pits and channels for
irrigation on 26th and 27th of
November.
Manures and fertilizers were
added to the soil in the beginning of

next month. The planting was started

on 2th December after proper watering
of soil. There was an absence of rain
in December. Thus watering was done
frequently. On 15th and 16th weeds
were removed. Inspection of plants
are done day by day. Supports were
given to the climbers for spreading.
On 31st August I collected the
certificate from the Nagar Van Park
Manager and he ensured that the
crops will be further taken care by the
workers of the Park.
