howorwhy,thentheyusuallyshrugtheirshoulders.
ThescienceofKundaliniVidyaanswersmanyquestionsaboutblockages,difficulties,specialabilities,and
thepurposebehindcleanliving,developmentofcharacterandspiritualpractices.
PeoplegetenlightenedindifferentwaysieKundaliniShakticanchoosefromanumberofdifferentroutes
togettothegoal.Forexample,RamanaMaharshitalkedabouttheheartbeingontherightsideofthe

Enlightenment.Whenlowermind(manas)becomessattvicenough,havingpurgedalotoftheimpressions
(vasanas)frompastlives,itiscalm,still,andclear,andwecanmoreeasilycatchthegapbetween
thoughts.Thenthelowerminddoesnotdisturborshadethehighermind(Buddhi).Withthemindstuffso
reduced,BuddhinolongerreflectstheLightofPureConsciousnessoffitselfbutisableatlasttoreceiveand
absorbit.WhenthehighermindcanreceivetheLight,itcanbesaidtobeenlightened.
Selfrealization.Thestateofenlightenmentexpands,andasthemindbecomeslessandless,Light
awarenessbecomesmoreandmore.Thenonerealizes(knows,experiences)thatoneistheSelf,theOne,
andnotanyphenomenalmanifestation,howeversubtleitmaybe.ThisisSelfrealization.

Pinnacle.WhenShakti,whohasabsorbedallhersubtleinstruments,mergesintoBindu,thereisonlyOne.
ThisfirsttotalunioniscalledPinnacle.Reachingitisaonceonlyexperience,likethereleasefrom
MuladharaandgettingtoMakara.Eitheryouvedoneitoryouhavent.ItisprecededbytheLittleDeath.
Plateau.OnceShaktihasreachedBindu,shegoesbacktoaresidingplaceofherchoice,butshewantsto
returntoOnenessoftenandextendherstay.Sosheclearsherwaytherebyrepeatedvisits,makingher
commuteeasierandfasterandherstaylonger.ThisisPlateau.Here,thesubtleremnantsofpastlife
impressionsareerased.DeathlessDeathisrepeatedhereandexpands.
Omega.WhenShaktiisatlastabletostayinOneness,Turiya,whilealsobeingawareinwaking,dreaming,
anddeepsleepstateswhetherinwardlyoroutwardlyengaged,thisisOmega,theendofprocess.Thenone
isaJivanMukta.Bythen,eventhisgreatexperienceseemsperfectlynaturalandperhapsevenrather
unremarkable.Thereissimplyadeepabidingpeace,aconstantawarenessorpresence,andanever
expandingconsciousness.AllstatesareexperiencedatoncealongwithOneness.Itcannotbedescribed.
