ABSTRACT
The charge distribution in the Mg-doped lithium manganese spinel Li1.02Mgx
Mn1.982x O4 with 0.00 , x - 0.20 is discussed and compared to those pertinent to
other M-doped samples (M - Ni2, Co3 , Cr3 , Al3 and Ga3). EPR spectra,
low temperature X-ray diffraction and conductivity data are related to the
cooperative JahnTeller (JT) transition occurring at Sabout 280 K in the undoped
sample. Here we demonstrate for the first time that CFx cathodes show
rechargeable capability in sodium ion batteries with an initial discharge capacity of
1061 mAh g1 and a reversible discharge capacity of 786 mAh g1. In this work,
carbon-coated LiFePO4 was further modified with reduced graphene oxide (RGO)
using an ultrasonic-assisted rheological phase method coupled with carbothermal
treatment. X-ray diffraction (XRD), field-emission scanning electron microscopy
(FESEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), high-resolution transmission
electron microscopy (HRTEM), and electrochemical methods were used
tocharacterize the materials properties.
