The teacher arranged the seats so he knows he has all the students' attention. The rearrangement would be making a new seating chart at least twice a quarter. There were a few students who refused to work in groups when given the opportunity.

Legacy High School, 11th grade English & English Honors 1. From my perspective, I would eliminate the front table that is located at the front of the room. This gives the students extra space when presentations occur. 2. By the teacher arranging the seats the way they are, he knows he has all the students attention. He also keeps track of who is side chattering or not concentrated. The walkways are free of supplies. The students quickly move and go. The teacher keeps all the student-used supplies easily accessible on his desk. The teacher also constantly uses the LCD projector along with the smart board. 3. A strength this arrangement has is that the teacher gets the students attention quickly. The rearrangement I would make would be making a new seating chart at least twice a quarter. This will allow students to interact more with each other. 4. There are 35 students in the class. They are all between the ages of 16, 17, and 18, both male and female. There were a few students who refused to work in groups when given the opportunity. The only thing they would do is put their head down for the entire class time. Most of the students who sat in the back of the room showed normal behavior. The teacher had just changed the seating chart. The teacher was fairly equal with all of them. No one was ignored. The students in the class was full of enthusiasm and interest in learning. None of them had a problem with turning in an assignment. Most of them asked questions related to the lesson. Many of these students are involved in school activities, such as sports, AP club, Key Club, DECA, and student counsel. These students appreciate the environment of this school. Most of them like it better than past schools they have attended.
