Weifang boasts a vast and welldeveloped territory with abundant

resources. As the birthplace of many
outstanding historical figures, it offers
an abundance of culture. The
handicrafts in Weifang such as kites,
clay sculptures, wood-block New
Year pictures and silver-inlaid
artefacts are famous across the
nation. Indeed, it is known as the
Kite Capital of China.

Yangjiabu Scenic Spot is National AAAA-level

Tourism Scenic Spot, National Agriculture Tourism
Demonstration Site, and the Most Characteristics
Scenic Spot for 56 Ethic Groups in China and Top
Ten Tourism Leisure Place in Shandong province.
It has been the hometown for Weifang Kites and
Yangjiabu New Year Pictures as well as the cradle
of folklore culture in Jiangbei. The New Year
Pictures and kites have a long history and special
character, which has been listed as the batch of
national non-material culture heritage.

ATTRACTIONS OF WEIFANG

Being a National Key Cultural Relics Protection

Units, the garden was built in the Ming Dynasty
when the emperor was Jiajing and become
private residence garden after the 11th year of the
Qing dynasty when the emperor was Guangxu
though renovation and expansion. The garden
has lots of ancient heritage for celebrity with
architecture art of southern and northern gardens.
Since the garden occupied small place, just like
ten-tablet, thus the garden got its name and was
known as The Pearl of Eastern Shandong.
