LEGACY MEMORIALS
We continue progressing on our day care and
gymnasium phases of our St Gabriel school project over
the summer in anticipation of being open for the fall
school semester. These projects were only possible through
the generosity of our parish families. Although the capital
campaign was very much a success, there remain many
items that remain on our proposed project list that need to
be funded. Some of these will be funded through savings
in construction costs thanks to many donations of time
and material of our local contractor parish members.
Without their commitment and dedication, we would not
be nearly as far along with our construction as we currently
are.
In addition, simply running a school and the parish has always been and will continue to be a challenge.
We try to be as efficient as we can in providing the services
we offer, but keeping up with the rising costs is a challenge. Teacher salaries, insurance for facilities and personnel, heating and cooling as well as repair and maintenance
are some of the things we strive to cover. It is my desire to
develop a fund that will be able to cover many of these
items, as well as the possibility of a fund for an associate
priest. Last fall we were offered an opportunity to have an
associate join us at Holy Family, but we were not able to
consider this due to our financial situation.
One way you can help in this is offering a legacy
memorial in your will. Did you know that less than 7.5%
of the population remembers their parish or other charitable organization in their will? This is one of the best assurances that your gift will have the most impact. Although
not tax advice, a gift often can restructure your estate to
benefit other beneficiaries. (For details on your situation,
please consult a professional.) Your gift can be directed to
any number of specific goals at the parish, or it may be
used in a general way, all at the discretion of the donor.
Lastly, at times you may have a piece of property
or real estate that you may wish to sell. Donating this to a
non-profit such as your parish may be another alternative
to a cash donation. A donation such as this does not have
to be part of a will, and may help in your tax planning.
Again, for details on your personal situation, please see a
professional.
Thank you for considering a legacy memorial or
another gift in kind to your parish. These gifts are much
needed and appreciated by everyone, and are often the way
we can upgrade computers or text books in our school,
improve lighting or parking at our parish or school, offer
special missions or retreats or generate a plan for upgrading mechanical systems of roofs over time or any number
of other projects that come up.
God bless
Fr. Jim

THANK YOU FROM CASA HOGAR

On behalf of Msgr. Joe Hirsch I would like to
thank everyone that contributed to the mission appeal.
This was a record year for our parish, and we will be
sending over $8,000 to the Casa Hogar orphanage, which
is awesome. I have visited the orphanage just outside Lima, Peru, and have seen the good work they do. Thank
you for your generosity and God bless.

Almighty and Good God, Father of all

Creation, we thank you for placing deep
within us the Divine Attribute of freedom
and giving us a longing for it in our daily
lives.
In History the founders of our great nation
enshrined religious freedom as our highest
liberty.
Inspire in us the gifts of wisdom and courage
by which we may defend our liberties always,
so that our children and our children's
children may be ever free to walk by the light
of your Truth. Amen

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Dont forget to use SCRIP over the summer

gifts for any occasion. SCRIP is such a painless
