Michael Clark is an outstanding individual and teacher, and I would
highly recommend him for a teaching and coaching position. While Michael completed his student teaching at Ereckson Middle School, he was prompt, professional, compassionate and receptive. Michael was on time and prepared with lesson plans and materials ready for each days lessons. Michael was extremely professional exemplifying what you would expect from a teacher and coach. His classroom management was firm and based on respect and compassion. During down time, Michael would pick a different student each day to sit with and get to know. He showed his students that he cared for them and quickly built strong relationships, which led to few discipline problems in his class. Michael would research new lessons and games, then play them in class, reflecting afterward on the activity looking for ways to improve for the next period. He adapted games to accommodate numbers or students with special needs or disabilities. He was eager to learn accepting criticism and suggestions taking them and implement them into his routine or class room management. After Michael completed his student teaching, he continued to volunteer his time with the cross country team gaining valuable coaching experience. Again I would highly recommend Michael for a teaching and coaching position and if given the opportunity would hire him. Please feel free to contact me if you would like any further information.
